Good Morning Friends,

If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $10 Loves Rubberstamps store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love for the Designers! You have until Saturday, July 13th, at 8pm CST. Have fun and we hope that you enjoy the hop!

If you've arrived here from Dangina's blog you are right on track! If not, I have posted the whole blog hop list below just in case you get lost along the way!

Well, I must say that I did almost nothing yesterday and even managed to get a nap.  It has been a long time since that has happened and it was so nice!  Today I want to share with you a bright and fun card!  I usually go for the mute tones, but not today!  I stamped the image by Magnolia, Mushroom with a Snail, in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored the image with copics.  I loosely used a Mojo Monday sketch (see below).  I added some Wild Orchid flowers, some pearls and a hat pin.  I also stitched around the edges.  The paper is by Basic Grey.  The sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps.

Copics used:
E97, E99, RV10, RV34, RV69, Y00, Y02, Y04, YG07, YG45, YG91, YG93 YR65, YR68, W00, W3

The inside:

 The sketch: (very loosely used)

Athina (you are here!)

We hope you have fun on the hop today!  It is a great way to see what the very talented design team is up to!

PTT 123 - Happy Father's Day

Hello Blogging Friends!

Today I am back with an other challenge at Party Time Tuesdays!  This week is all about Father's Day!  I have to say that I have been very blessed to have the best father a girl could ask for.  He is the one person I can go to for anything and we share that very special father - daughter bond.

Our fabulous sponsor is QKR Stampede!

If you are a regular visitor, you know I have been hustling to get my dad's scrapbook done this past month for Father's Day.  The first page of his book is usually a picture of him and I write something special for him.  This year, I decided to take a different approach.  He took his entire family on a trip to Florida this past September.  So I choose a picture of all his kids (and spouses) and granddaughters on that trip for the first page of his book.

I started with a Basic Grey background and just began adding different distressed and sewn pieces of paper, along with rags, and different embellishments.

The lace is sewn to the page and I have used a Tim Holtz ticket for journaling.

A few doilies, buttons and another Tim Holtz ticket.

I used a playing card with a G for the family last name.

The edges of the papers are all distressed and torn.  I added another tag for fun.

Be sure to stop by this week and play along with us this week at Party Time Tuesdays!

Thank you for stopping by today!
Blessings until next time...

&

What a fun image we had to play with this week!  And to make it better, Bugaboo Stamps generously provided some cute images for us to play with.  I choose the FU Umbrella, printed on cryogen paper and colored with copics.  I used some additional stickles on the image to add some fun.  I used Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey for the background of the card.  The image is cut out with Spellbinders Large Oval Dies and the Scalloped Oval.  To finish it off, I used ribbon, button, twine and pearls.

Copics used:
Umbrella:  YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24
I did not record the flower colors. (sorry)

The inside papers match the outside.  The sentiment is by Inkadinkadoo.  It is one of my favorites and perfect for the image.

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #105– Anything Goes

Hello Friends!

I have three posts for today, so please be sure to scroll thru them to see all the goodies today!

I am back with another challenge for Party Time Tuesdays!  This week is the best - Anything Goes.  So anything you create a card, layout, tag or altered art, you can enter with us!

Our fabulous sponsor this week is the Paper Shelter and they generously provided this image, 100 Cute Outlines, for us to use.  She looks like she is ready to go shopping and have some fun!

I colored printed her on cryogen paper and colored her with copics.  I used my spellbinders dies to cut out the image.  The background paper is by Basic Grey, out of print.  I actually could not find any ribbon to match the card in my stash, so I used white ribbon and colored it with G24 copic to match the image.  I tied it in a bow and put a "Friend" charm along with it.  I finished it off with some pearls.

Hair:  E29, E35, E39
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Shirt/Hearts:  R81, R85, R89
Shorts:   G20, G21, G24
Shoes:  G20, G21, G24, R81, R85, R89
The inside uses more of the Basic Grey paper that was used on the outside.  I used a Printworks sentiment on a tag and tied it up with some ribbon.

Supplies used:

Image:  The Paper Shelter, 100 Cute Outlines
Inside Sentiment:  Printworks Collection “Happy Everything”
Paper:  Basic Grey – Out of Print
Dies:  Spellbinders Custom Circle
Embellishments: ribbon, tag, twine, charm

Party Time Tuesday 104 - Decorate the Envelope

Hello Friends!

I have three posts for today, so please be sure to scroll thru them to see all the goodies today!

I am back with another challenge for Party Time Tuesdays! This weeks challenge is to Decorate the Envelope.  Well, I must say, it took some time for me to think about this one.  Our sponsor was Floppy Latte and they generously provided the flower image I have used on my tag.   I was stumped as to how to use this on the envelope.  So instead of an ordinary envelope, I decided to do a pillow box. That counts, right?  I got the template here

I started with Basic Grey, Sweet Threads paper.  I thought it would be cute with the image.  I cut and folded as directed.  I added some lace trim, some tulle and a flower created with felt using the Spellbinders Spiral Blossom 1 die.  The center of the flower has a round button covered with stickles.

After I finished the pillow box, I created the tag.  The top picture is the back and this picture is the front.  I colored the image with my copics and used Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges.  I attached the tag with some extra MME ribbon.

Copics used:
G20, G24, G28, YG93, W1, RV10, RV32, RV34
Thanks for stopping by today!
Blessings until next time...

Loves Rubber Stamps December GDT - Merry Christmas or Happy Chanuka

Good Morning Blogging Friends,

Today I am back with another challenge as a Guest Design Team Member for Loves Rubberstamps Challenges.  The sponsor this week for Loves Rubberstamps is Sweet n' Sassy.

Ok, let's get to the challenge, it is Merry Christmas or Happy Chanukah!

I wanted to do something a little bit different than a normal Christmas card for this challenge.  I have been wanting to try a Star Fold Card for some time and I thought this would be great for this challenge. You can find the tutorial here for the Star Fold Card.  It is actually very simple!  So I picked out some double sided Christmas Basic Grey paper from my stash and started scoring and folding.  I choose the Cocoa's Gift image from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps.  He is perfect popping out of the box since you have to also unwrap the card to get into it!  I colored the image with my copics on cryogen paper.  I used red cardstock cut out with Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs dies to put behind the image.

I then attached the image to one side of my card (you can see this better below).  I thought it still looked a little plain so I decided to embellish it a bit more.  I used pearls on the tips of the star and stamped the Merry Christmas image by Magnolia on a circle.  I added a star charm to the circle and hung it from the card with twine.  It was still not just right, so I colored some white ribbon with my G24 copic to match and tied a bow on the corner of it.

Copics used:
Box:  G20, G21, G24, G28
Ribbon:  R24, R29, E07
Mouse: E30, E31, E35
Ears:  R00, R21, R22

For the inside of the card, I simply stamped the sentiment by Stampabilities (Merry Christmas Always). You can see how the image is glued to only one side of the card.
