Tulips!

Happy Friday Friends!

I have been on vacation this week, just hanging out around the house.  It has been really nice to not have a lot of extra stress and worry.  I spent all day yesterday and part of the day today sifting through my craft room.  I have purged things to donate, share and trashed some things.  After all of that, I still had several totes that got packed up and put in storage.  My room doesn't look the same at all.  It looks so bare, but I left out plenty of supplies so I could continue to create until we move.  I have a sneaky suspicion that there is a hoarder living in my craft room....  After all the cleaning and packing, I could not locate that hoarder... Hmmmm.....

I decided to do a CAS card today, one of the hardest for me.  But I just love the Tulip Wheelbarrow image by Magnolia and feel that it really does not need much else to go along with it.  They are colored with copics and matted on burgundy and brown cardstock.  I colored white ribbon to match the tulips.  Added a charm and some dew drops.  It was that simple.

Supplies used:
Pearls
Dew Drops
Charm

Make sure to come and join our Girly, Glittery & Glam challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps!  Also check out the New Items in the store this week by C.C. Designs, Make it Crafty & A Random Fan!

Spring is coming!

Hello Friends!

I have been feeling a bit of spring weather coming on, so I hope it comes to stay very soon!  Last week I was able to get out and walk my dogs and they had such a blast and I enjoyed the warm weather.  I am ready to get out in the yard and play in the dirt and plant a garden!

So with that said, I choose to use bright spring colors for my inspiration card today!  I have used Tilda with Hawaii Flower stamped with Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black.  She is colored in bright pink Copics.  I added some grass under her feet, some ribbon, twine, charm and bling!  I also added some sewing around the edges of the inner square.

Supplies used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spun Sugar
Pink/White Twine (Thank you Jackie)
Stampin Up Ribbon (Thank you Jackie)
Bling (Thank you Jackie)

I hope you enjoyed your visit today!  Think warmer weather and spring!

Also, make sure to stop by and play along with us in the Corrugate challenge.

That is it for me today!  Have a great weekend and we will see you back next week.
Thanks for stopping by... Blessings until next time....

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - Tall & Skinny!

Hello!

Happy Tuesday to you!  This is going to be a good week, nice and short for me.  I am taking a couple days off to hang out this week and I am so looking forward to it.  I caught myself driving home from work yesterday distracted with a million things on my mind.  I stopped at a red light and went on thru it.  I am not even sure if I looked left and right.  I got about half way thru the light and realized what I had done.  Thanks God everyone is ok and there was not traffic coming my way.  It is a very busy intersection.  It just made me realize I need to focus on the important things in life and not get so cluttered up.

OK, enough babble!! You are here for a challenge, so here it is......At  Loves Rubberstamps
this week we want to see "Tall & Skinny"!

Our sponsors this week is Eureka

I searched for some fun images that would fit the tall and skinny order today and came up with Panda Marci from La La Land. She is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with copics.  edges are inked with Tim Holtz Brushed curodory distress ink.   I also used SImple Stories Fabulous paper for the background. The image is cut out with Spellbinders, Labels 18.  I added some burlap ribbon and some fringe at the bottom part and made a pop top charm to hang off the ribbon (see below)

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair:  E31, E25, E29
Dress:  E40, E41, E43
Boots:  E31, E37, E57
Scarf/Gloves:  R24, R29, E07
Jacket:  YG93, YG95, YG97

Here I used mix and match MFT dies to cut out the banners.  I added some ink, ribbon and part of a doily to it for fun.  The bottle cap is made with Peacock Feathers distress ink and My Mind's Eye Lost and Found  Ruby clear stamp.  The sentiment is by Amy R Be Happy collection.

For the inside, I used matching papers from the SImple Stories Fabulous pack.

Well, it has been one exciting week!  I now have a new niece and she is just as sweet as can be!  We also closed on some property that we will build on in a few years.  I can't wait to get started and see what our home will look like!  I also finished my dad's scrapbook for father's day.  So very accomplished, but busy week.

This week we are all featuring Magnolia stamps.  I was thrilled to hear that, as some of my first stamps to color were little Tilda's and they remain my favorite still today.  I used some black and teal cardstock to get started.  I used some Simple Stories, Fabulous collection, as part of my background.  The image, Tilda with Hawaii Flower, is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with copics. After coloring her up, I cut her out with my Spellbinders Large Circle Die and then used the Scalloped Circle die for the layer.  I finished off the card with some lace, ribbon, ticket and a butterfly.  I was thrilled with the way she turned out!

Copics used:

Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair:  E13, E15, E17, E18
Dress:  BG11, BG13, BG15, BG49

Butterfly:  RV10, RB34, RV69
Socks:  W0, W1, W2

The inside matches the outside papers.  I finished it off with a butterfly charm to match the cute Magnolia image.

Loves Rubberstamps - Anything Goes Challenge

Hello Friends!

I think spring might finally be here!  The weather last week was awesome here, I love the warmth of the sun.  Anyhow, the reason you are here... a new challenge from Loves Rubberstamps!  This week is open for anything you want to add.... Anything Goes.

Our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe.

This challenge was a bit of fun for me.  I will have a new niece born sometime in the beginning of June and the mom had a shower last weekend.  So I incorporated it all and came up with a fun little project.  I used the Coffee Holder set from The Cutting Cafe and made two of them to create a little box to hold two cute little onesie cupcakes.  I did shorten the handle a bit.  I covered the coffee holder with paper by My Minds Eye, some lace and a flower.  I created a tag by stamping with Rich Cocoa Memento ink the Bonny Tilda image colored with my copics.  I fussy cut the cutie out and added it to a tag inked with Spun Sugar, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  I added some perfect pearls, a charm and a bow for extra fun.  The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

The cupcake idea was pulled from pinterest.  Each one uses a onesie and a sock.  The wrapper was cut with a downloaded file from my Silhouette.

Please make sure to stop by and share your fun creations with us this week at Loves Rubberstamps!  We cant wait to see it all!!

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #105– Anything Goes

Hello Friends!

I have three posts for today, so please be sure to scroll thru them to see all the goodies today!

I am back with another challenge for Party Time Tuesdays!  This week is the best - Anything Goes.  So anything you create a card, layout, tag or altered art, you can enter with us!

Our fabulous sponsor this week is the Paper Shelter and they generously provided this image, 100 Cute Outlines, for us to use.  She looks like she is ready to go shopping and have some fun!

I colored printed her on cryogen paper and colored her with copics.  I used my spellbinders dies to cut out the image.  The background paper is by Basic Grey, out of print.  I actually could not find any ribbon to match the card in my stash, so I used white ribbon and colored it with G24 copic to match the image.  I tied it in a bow and put a "Friend" charm along with it.  I finished it off with some pearls.

Hair:  E29, E35, E39
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Shirt/Hearts:  R81, R85, R89
Shorts:   G20, G21, G24
Shoes:  G20, G21, G24, R81, R85, R89
The inside uses more of the Basic Grey paper that was used on the outside.  I used a Printworks sentiment on a tag and tied it up with some ribbon.

Supplies used:

Image:  The Paper Shelter, 100 Cute Outlines
Inside Sentiment:  Printworks Collection “Happy Everything”
Paper:  Basic Grey – Out of Print
Dies:  Spellbinders Custom Circle
Embellishments: ribbon, tag, twine, charm

{PIN}spirational Challenge # 41

Hello Blogging Friends,

This is the second post of three I have for today, so please be sure to check them all out.

We have the cutest picture for you today at {PIN}spirational Challenges.  Look at this little cutie!

Our sponsors this week are Cardmadfairy's Card Creations and Kitty Bee Designs.  They generously provided us images and sentiments to create with this week.

When I saw this picture, I had a few ideas in mind. First, I thought how would I create a card?  Then I thought a tag would be cute as I had the sentiment and I could use some of my Stampers Anonymous images with my distress inks.  What my final creation ended up being was completely different than what I originally thought.  When I sat down and relooked at the Cardmadfairy's sentiment "Love Always & Forever" and the inspiration picture,  I thought I should grab a picture of one of my dogs.  Then I remember my favorite picture of Stella, my basset hound.  The picture of the scrapbook page below is not blurry.  The actual picture of Stella is blurry.  It shows her personality perfectly.  She is always nosey, into everything and ready to give unexpected kisses.  Hence why her nose is huge and the rest of her body is small in this picture.  Her nose was practically on my camera lens.

So I have no copics for you in this post, not one.  I went to my second hobby, scrapbooking.  I used MME, Reflections and Pink Paisley paper which is all distressed and on a black background.  The sentiment was printed on cryogen paper and cut out with Spellbinders labels 18 die.  I used Tim Holtz peeled paint distress ink around the sentiment.  I finished the page off with twine, buttons and a charm.  So there you have it!  I will Love Always and Forever Stella.

So take another look at the inspiration picture and head on over to {PIN}spirational Challenges to show us how you have been inspired.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

Thanks for coming by today.  I always appreciate your support of my work.
Blessings until next time...

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration

Hello Blogging Friends!

I am back with another Sunday Inspiration post for Loves Rubberstamps.  I am trying really hard to get away from making so many square cards each week.  I feel the need to mix it up.  So today I am sharing with you a Concertina Card with a little added from me.  This fold is actually very easy to do, you can check out the tutorial here

I used kraft cardstock to create the backing.  I followed the tutorial for folding and covered the card base with My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found paper.  I did add an additional backing to the card that was about an inch taller than the card itself.  I left the top open and used a Fiskars scalloped punch on the edges.  I made a tag using Spellbinders Labels 18 die.

The image Tilda with Ribbon Heart Scarf, by Magnolia, is stamped with memento ink on cryogen paper.  I colored her up with my usual copic markers.  I added some extra sparkle to the snowflakes with stickles and perfect pearls.  I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels 18.  To decorate the rest of the card, I embossed some snowflakes and used some snowflake charms to add some character.  The snowflake charm on the front is hung with white tulle and tied with twine.

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11
Hat/Scarf:  RV34, RV81, RV85
Jacket/Boots:  E50, E53, E55
Hair:  E29, E30, E35, E39

I used the same Spellbinders die to cut out a tag to put in between the backings.  I stamped the tag with Printworks Collection sentiment and finished it off with another charm, tulle and ribbon.

Stop on over at Loves Rubberstamps and see all the new goodies that have been put in the store.
