1 - 2 - 3! Loves Rubberstamps Challenge

Hello Friends,

Before we get to today' challenge, I want to wish my little brother a very Happy 34th Birthday!  He welcomed a little boy this past Thursday and he is the sweetest little guy you have seen.  I know I am a bit biased, but I am allowed to be!  His big sister really checked him out to make sure he had all his parts.  She is very curious!

Ok, for the reason you are here, we have another challenge for you from Loves Rubberstamps!  This week we want to see 1, 2, 3 creations.  What does that mean you ask?

1 Image
2 Design Papers
3 Embellishments

Our sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter!

The Paper Shelter generously provided the design team some fun images to play with.  I have used the Christmas Carol.  I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated to color this image and almost used the pre-colored image, but I decided to challenge myself a bit and here it is.  I am pretty happy with it.  The image is cut out using MFT Die-namics Round Banner die.  I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink.  I decided the image would be cute with a center step card, so that is what I did.  The papers are by Simple Stories, Aweso{me} and My Minds Eye.  The sentiment is by Memory Box and is stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

Loves Rubberstamps Anything Goes!

Hello!

I have another challenge for you from Loves Rubberstamps!  Are you ready?  You can show us anything this week - Anything Goes!  So come on over and show us your cards, layouts, fun folds, boxes - anything you want!

Our sponsor this week:

I colored this cute little Crafty Sentiments Beach Life image up a while back.  I planned to use it on a layout, but I didn't have any pictures that match.  So I put it in my pile for maybe later.  Well, I pulled it out and thought it would be cute for a little birthday goodie for my niece who will turn four in July.  I colored the image up with copics.  (The image is stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento ink).  I cut the image out with Spellbinders deckled rectangles.   I inked around the edges with Broken China and Walnut Stain Distress ink.

I decided it would be fun to make a Flat Backed Treat Box (found on SCS) with the image.  It was very simple.  I covered treat box with Simple Stories Summer Fresh papers.    I did alter the tutorial a bit by allowing the back side to have a pocket for a greeting tag.

I added some ribbons, flowers and a button to finish her off.  Now I just need to get some candy to put inside the little box!

Copics used:
Hair:  Y21, Y28, YR21
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hat:  E31, E43, E44
Suit:   E07, R22, R24
Tube:  B32, B34, B37
Towel:  Y11, Y13, Y15

I was so happy with how this turned out!  Now, I want to see yours!  Come over to Loves Rubberstamps and show me that special project you are working on.  Also, check out the design team creations, they are amazing!

Thanks for stopping by.  I do appreciate your visit.
Blessings until next time....

Loves Rubberstamps - April Showers Challenge

Hi Friends!

I am back with another fun challenge for Loves Rubberstamps!  Make sure to scroll down for two other fun challenges this week.  We all know saying, April showers brings May Flowers right?  Well this week, the challenge is April Showers.  So many possibilities...think.... wedding shower, baby shower, rain showers etc.

Our sponsors this week:

Our generous sponsor, The Paper Nest Dolls, provided this cute little image to use for this week.  It is called Playing in the Rain.  Thank goodness for this digi image, otherwise, I was not sure what I would have used.  I printed her off on cryogen paper and colored her with copics.  The outside  of the image is inked with Tim Holtz Stormy Sky Distress Ink.  I kept the shapes on this one simple, using the Simple Stories Fabulous collection.  It is really a lot of fun to work with.  I added some Wild Orchid flowers with a hat pin, pearls, ribbon and droplets.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13
Boots:  RV10, RV32, RV34
Hair:  E29, E35, E39
Suit: RV10, RV32, RV34, BG49

The inside is done with matching papers from Simple Stories Fabulous collection.  The sentiment is from Amy R collection, Be Happy Sentiments.

I had so much fun making this little cutie!  Be sure to stop over and play with us this week at Loves Rubberstamps!

Your visit it very much appreciated!

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21
Hair:  E33, E35, E37
Dress:  V01, V06, V15

Loves Rubberstamps - 3 Dimensional Image Challenge

Hi Friends!

Welcome back to another fun post for Loves Rubberstamps weekly challenge.  This week the challenge is to make a card where the image is 3 Dimensional.  Dangina on our design team makes the most awesome 3D cards.  So we have a tough challenge ahead of us.  I hope I did it some justice.

Our Sponsors:

All That Scraps

All That Scraps generously provided the design team with Mr & Mrs Monkey digi images to use for this challenge.  My first thought was to  use the image to do a scrapbook layout of the Bernard Zoo.  When I looked back through my pictures, I discovered I did not have a single picture of a monkey.  So back to the drawing board.  My sister in law is expecting, so I thought this would be a cute image for a baby card.  So I pulled out my Echo Park Love Story paper pack and found the papers I liked.  I know many would probably not use black, but my sister in law is not quite the pinky girl, so I think the black will work for her.  Since she is expecting a girl, I used Mrs. Monkey.  After I colored her with my copics, I fussy cut her out and put some dimensional dots behind her.  I finished the card with a flower, brad, button and some twine.

Just showing some dimension on the image.

Copics used:
E50, E51, E53, E55, RV000, RV23, RV29

The inside also uses Echo Park Love Story paper pack.  I used an EK success punch to punch the edge of the black paper and added some trim to the top.  The sentiment is by Stampin Up and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I have used this sketch by Viva LaVerve that I pinned awhile back.

Ok, so put your thinking caps on and come play with us at Loves Rubberstamps weekly challenge!  This week All That Scraps will be giving away a prize to the winner.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

PTT #114 - Ribbons & Blooms

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to another Party Time Tuesdays challenge!  This week is perfect for spring, Ribbons & Blooms.

Our Sponsors:

I thought for a while on this challenge.  I needed to get some scrapbook pages done for my dad's book, so I decided that the ribbons and blooms challenge would be perfect!  I dug thru my pictures until I came across these pictures with my nieces.  We were just being silly at Christmas time.  I think the one on the left page is one of my favorites.  I have used Core destinations paper in black with a green background for the base.  It was sanded and distressed around the edges to allow some of the green to show thru.  I have also used The Paper Studio, DCWV and Fancy pants papers.  I used several flowers, paper, fabric and crocheted on the layout.  Embellished with pearls.  The hidden journaling card is by 7 Gypsies and the pocket was generously provided by our sponsor SRM Stickers.

I do apologize for the poor pictures.  I must have taken 50 different shots in different lights but this just did not photograph well.

I used a sketch by Let's Scrap for the layout. So now it is your turn to come on over to Party Time Tuesdays and share your ribbons and blooms with us!

Thank you for stopping by.  Your visit is very much appreciated!
Blessings until next time...

If you've arrived here from Dangina's blog you are right on track! If not, I have posted the whole blog hop list below just in case you get lost along the way!

I have had a few different projects for this Sunday and I have scrapped them all, just not feeling them if you know what I mean.  But, I finally came up with this...  A fun little gift card holder to share with someone special.  I have used a Whimsy Wee Stamp called LOVE-TRIP.  They look so in love, don't they?  I used my copics to color the sweeties up.  It is stamped with Tuexedo Black Memento ink on cryogen paper.  The background papers are by My Minds Eye and Reflections.  I finished the outside off with a few flowers, ribbon and a heart charm.  The card is actually a pocket.

The inside is cut and folded a few times and punched with a scalloped edge EK Success punch.  I added some pearls, a gem stone button and some ribbon.  I used a pin to hold a cute little sentiment by Stampavie.  I also inked the background of the sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Mustard Seed.

Copics used:
BG13, BG15, BG49, C1, C3, C7, E31, E33, E35, E50, E51, E53,
Y00, Y04, Yo6, YR61, YR65, YR68
