{PIN}spirational Challenge # 39

Hello Friends!

I have three posts for today, so make sure you catch them all!  Today I am back with another
{PIN}spirationalChallenge.  What is a {PIN}spirational challenge you ask?  Well you look at a picture and get inspired to create something based on that picture.  So your picture this week is a group of penguins.

Our generous sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps!  They provided our adorable images to use this week.

I used the Penguin with a Star image and colored him with my copics.  The paper is all MME Lost and Found collection.  I cut the image out with my Large Oval Spellbinders die and cut another Large Scalloped Oval to layer the image on.  I also used distress ink around the edges of the image to make him stand out a bit.  In addition, I used Dimensional Pearls on the scallops.  The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

Copics Used:
Penguin:  W1, W2, W5, W7, W10
Feet/Nose:  E99, YR24, YR27

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #102 – Shimmer, Sparkle & Shine

Hello Friends!

I am back with a couple of posts for today, so please make sure to catch them all!  We are partying over at Party Time Tuesdays!  Every Tuesday we have a new challenge and today's challenge is Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine!  Oh the fun we could get into with this!  Our sponsor QKR Stampede generously provided a few images for us to use.  I am using "Pegasus".

Please forgive the pictures, it is hard to see the sparkle and shine, but trust me, it is there!  I used MME glitter paper as the background and for the three squares on the right hand side.  The "Pegasus" digi image is printed on cryogen paper and colored with copics.  After I colored the image, I used a glitter pen and stickles on the wings and hair (this is difficult to see in the picture).  I finished off the image with distress ink and a flourish stamp in the same color.  The sentiment on the tag is by American Art Stamp.  I embossed with silver some flourishes around the tag as well.

Copics used:
BG000, BG10, BG11, BV0000, BV000, BV20, BV23C0, C1, C2, C3, 0, R81, R83, R85, BV0000, BV000, BV20, BV23

Supplies used:
Image:  QKR Stampede “Pegasus”
Sentiment:  American Art Stamp
Paper:  My Minds Eye
Embellishments:  ribbon, tag, embossing powder & ink, Distress ink (Spun Sugar), stickles

Thanks for taking a look!  Come on, get out that messy, fun glitter and sparkle and play along with us at Party Time Tuesdays.

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspirations

Hello Friends!

I hope you are having a great weekend and the beginning of your year has started off well.  I am back today with a Sensational Sunday Inspiration post for  Loves Rubberstamps Store.  She has such great images to play with!  I must admit that I actually started this project as a gift for a special friend.  After working a few days on it, I could not part with it.  I know, not very nice of me, but this was my first frilly, girly thing I had made. I have become attached.

So let's get to it!  I made a Multi Pocket Envelope album.  I got the directions from The Paper Trail on how to assemble the envelopes.  I made six pages total, using 15 envelopes.  We will get to the inside in a bit.  First, let's take a look at the outside of the book.  I used chipboard for the covers to make it a bit sturdier.  All paper used in the album is My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found.  The image, Painter Meg, by Mo Manning is stamped with Memento, Tuxedo Black ink  and is colored with copics.  I finished embellishing the front with white trim and a Tim Holtz embellishment, "Live the life you've imagined"  The book was bound with a Bind it All.

Copics used:
Paint Bucket:  C0, C1, C3, C5
Paint:  B00, B01, B02
Boots:  W0, W1 W3
Pants:  E41 E43, E44, E47
Shirt:  B00, B01, B02, W0, W2
Hair:  E29, E35, E39
Brush:  B02, W00, W1, W3, C3, C5
Skin:  E000, E00, E11

Here are some pictures of the inside of the book.  You can see there are several places for tags and fun embellishments in this book of fun.  I used Spellbinders Labels 10, 20, 21, 25 dies to cut out many of the tags.  The tags are all embellished with miscellaneous flowers, trims, buttons, twine, brads, laces etc.      I used Tim Holtz Distress inks to add more to each tag.  Some of the tags are also stamped with flourish stamps around the edges to add more visual effects to each tag.
I have included a picture of all the pages, so please excuse the picture heavy post.

I hope my post today has inspired you to create!  I had so much fun with this project.

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #101– Celebrations

Hello Friends!

I am back again with another post for today!  Tuesdays will be a very busy day on my blog, as I will have lots to share.  So please be sure to scroll down and read the post below also.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I was asked to be a part of the Party Time Tuesday Design Team, so today I am here with my first official post and challenge.  Today’s challenge over at Party Time Tuesdays is Celebrations!

Many may think of New Years around this time of year.  However, I don’t typically send out New Years cards, so I went with birthday celebrations.  Who doesn’t need a birthday card, right?

This little Sassy Cheryl’s  Birthday Mouse is one of my favorites.  He just screams “LET’S CELEBRATE!!”  I colored him with copics on cryogen paper.  I cut out the image with my Spellbinders Large Circle die and used the Scalloped circle to outline the image.  The paper used is by Recollections.  I decided to hide the sentiment and put it behind the image.  But one pull of the ribbons and a little tag reveals the sentiment by Printworks Collection.

Copics used:
Icing:  BG11, BG72, BG78
Liner:  R11, R24, R27, R29, W5
Mouse:  E41, E44, E47, R00, R20
Candles:  Y11, YR23, YR24, YG93, YG95, YG97
Hat:  BG11, BG72, BG78

Image:  Sassy Cheryl’s Birthday Mouse
Sentiment:  Printworks Collection “Great Birthday”
Paper:  Recollections
Dies:  Large Circle, Large Scallop Circle
Embellishments:  ribbon, tag

Stop over to Party Time Tuesdays and enter your Celebration creation for a chance to win!  While there, check out the other Design Team's creations!

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge – Anything Goes

Hello Blogging Friends,

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Years and I hope that your New Year is filled with much success and that all your wishes and desires come true.  I have some more fun news for you today!  For the month of December, I was a guest designer for Loves Rubberstamps.  Laura, the owner, asked me to join the team and I have gladly accepted!  You should stop by the store and see all the gorgeous stamps, papers and embellishments she carries.

So this is my first official post as a member of the Loves Rubberstamps Design Team!  The challenge for this week is Anything Goes!  These are always a lot of fun.  We are also sponsored by The Cutting Cafe this week.

I colored up the Heidi image by Wee Stamps on cryogen paper with my copics.  The background papers are all My Mind’s Eye, Lost and Found .  Since Heidi is all bundled up, I decided to shake up the image a bit and make it a shaker card.  This is actually very simple to do.  I used the Spellbinders Labels 18 dies and cut out a border.  I then cut another die cut using the large label die out of clear envelope packaging.  I glued the clear die cut to the border and set it aside to dry.  After I colored the image, I used 3M double sided tape and put it around the edges of the image which I also cut out with the large Spellbinders Labels 18 die.  After putting the 3M tape around the image, I decided it needed a little more height, so I added another layer of double sided tape.  (Be sure to seal the image completely with the tape or the flakes will fall out. After I added the double sided tape, I added the snow.)  Then I removed the backing of the double sided tape and put the border with the clear packaging tape over the image.  Whala! You have a shaker card with snow around the image!

Copics used:
Hair:  E29, E35, E39
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Jacket:  E51, E53, E55, R24, R27, R89
Skirt:  R24, R27, R89
Boots/Muff:  E51, E53, E55
Bow:  R24, R27, R89, W3, W5, W7, W10
Scarf:  W3, W5, W7, W10

I just simply cut out this pretty image from the My Minds Eye Lost & Found paper stack.  It matched perfectly.

Supplies:
Paper:  My Minds Eye Lost & Found
Dies:  Spellbinders 18
Snow:  Martha Stewart Snow and Carrara Marble (course)
Embellishments:  Twine, ribbon, button
