Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration

Hello Blogging Friends!

I am back with another Sunday Inspiration post for Loves Rubberstamps.  I am trying really hard to get away from making so many square cards each week.  I feel the need to mix it up.  So today I am sharing with you a Concertina Card with a little added from me.  This fold is actually very easy to do, you can check out the tutorial here

I used kraft cardstock to create the backing.  I followed the tutorial for folding and covered the card base with My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found paper.  I did add an additional backing to the card that was about an inch taller than the card itself.  I left the top open and used a Fiskars scalloped punch on the edges.  I made a tag using Spellbinders Labels 18 die.

The image Tilda with Ribbon Heart Scarf, by Magnolia, is stamped with memento ink on cryogen paper.  I colored her up with my usual copic markers.  I added some extra sparkle to the snowflakes with stickles and perfect pearls.  I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels 18.  To decorate the rest of the card, I embossed some snowflakes and used some snowflake charms to add some character.  The snowflake charm on the front is hung with white tulle and tied with twine.

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11
Hat/Scarf:  RV34, RV81, RV85
Jacket/Boots:  E50, E53, E55
Hair:  E29, E30, E35, E39

I used the same Spellbinders die to cut out a tag to put in between the backings.  I stamped the tag with Printworks Collection sentiment and finished it off with another charm, tulle and ribbon.

{PIN}spirational Challenge # 40

Hello Friends,

I have three posts for today, so please grab your coffee sit back and relax if you wish to scroll thru them all!

Today I am back with another {PIN}spritational Challenge.  What is that you ask?  You will be given a picture to be inspired by.  So today's picture is a nice plate of blue cupcakes with tea pots on top.

We have two generous sponsors this week and they generously provided images for us to work with.

I am using the Party Pig digi image by Beccy's Place.  Isn't that the cutest pig?  I thought of a birthday party when I seen the cupcakes.  I colored the image with copics and finished the pig off with perfect pearls and stickles to add a little bit of shine.  I wanted to do something a bit different with this card.  I have been seeing cards where the image sticks off the top of the card.  So I made the base 4.5" x 5" and used Spellbinders Large Oval and Floral Blossom One dies to cut out the image.  The image was finished with distress ink and some emboss resist to give it more of a celebration feel.
I stamped a Fiskars sentiment on a tag and added some distress ink and ribbon to finish the tag.  The background paper is by Reflections.  I recycled some tulle from a package and tied it around the front, finished with a button.

Copics used:
Pig:  YR0000, YR01, YR61, W2, 0
Hat:  B32, B34, B37
Pearls: W1
Tu-tu:  B32, B34, B37, B39

The inside was finished with Reflections & Pink Paislee paper.  I used a EK Success scallop edge punch on the blue but it is hard to see in the picture.

I hope you have been inspired by the blue cupcakes!  Head on over to {PIN}spritational Challenge and share your creation with us!

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #103– Color

Hello Friends!

I have three posts today, so please make sure to scroll thru to get them all!

Today at Party Time Tuesday we have a color challenge for you!

Aren't these fun colors?  And I would also like to give a shout out to our generous sponsor Bugaboo who provided the image for today.  I had a lot of fun coloring this cute little Ladybug Stack digi image.

I printed the image on cryogen paper and colored them with copics (colors below).  I cut the image out with my spellbinders die and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink.  I saw the cutest card by Carole about a month ago that flipped up instead of the normal folds.  I remembered it and had to give it a try myself.  So I put the image on an embossed background and matted it with gray cardstock.  I embellished it with a punched edge, ribbon and a button.  You lift up the ribbon to reveal the inside of the card.

Copics used:
Leaves:  G20, G21, G24, G28
Grass:  W5, G24, G28, YG97
Ladybugs& Flowers:  B21, B24, B26, B28, B29, C3, C5, C7, C9, Y00, Y11, Y15, YR23, YR24

So here is the inside with the flip up in the front.  Cute, isn't it?  The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
Supplies used:
Image:  Bugaboo Ladybug Stack
Sentiment:  Hero Arts
Paper:  My Minds Eye & Misc stash
Dies:  Spellbinders Labels 23
Punches:  Fiskars Scalloped Border
Embellishments:  CTMH ribbon, tag, Cuttlebug embossing folder

Ok, so I have shared my card using the colors in the challenge, now let's see yours.  Head over to Party Time Tuesday and join in the party.

Loves Rubberstamps - Cute as a Button!

Hello Friends!

I have a few posts for today, so please be sure to check out all three!

I am back with Loves Rubberstamps challenge.  This weeks challenge is Cute as a Button!  All you need to do is use a button on your creation. Simple enough!  Our sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter and they generously provided us with some images to use.  I have chosen to use Kisses as my image.  When I seen this image, I knew exactly who the card would go to, my in-laws.  Monday they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

I printed the digi image on cryogen paper and colored it with copics.  I used the Die-namics Round Banner Die to cut out the image and finished the image with Spun Sugar Distress Inks.  For the background, I used my favorite My Minds Eye Lost and Found paper.  Since I have been using a lot of the MME lately, I have ordered some new brands.  As soon as I get them, I will be sure to share with you.  Ok, back to the card... I used some miscellaneous charms, gems, trim, a flower, brad, and, of course, a button.

Copics used:
Wood:  E31, E35, E37
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair:  Boy: E34, E50, E53, E57; Girl: E02, E08, E18, E19
Shirt:  Boy:  R81, R83, R85, R89, BV20, BV25; Girl:  V01, V05, V06
Pants:  C1, C3, C5, C9
Shoes:  C5, C9, BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29
Grass:  G94, G99, E87

On the inside, I used a PrintWorks sentiment on the MME paper I used on the outside.  I searched around my stash and did not have one Anniversary sentiment.  I guess it is time to go shopping again.  I finished it with a few more flowers and another button.

So get your buttons out and put them to use!  Then show us your creation at Loves Rubberstamps!

Loves Rubber Stamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration 1/13

Hello and Happy Sunday to you!

I hope you are getting some relaxing time today whether it be spending time with your family, watching football or crafting while the others watch football!  I am in my room working on some fun stuff for you in the upcoming weeks!  I love Sundays, a day to relax and rest. Ahhh..

I am back today with a Sensational Sunday Inspiration for Loves Rubberstamps today.  I really need to stock up on my birthday card stash so I am not up late at night getting something together the night before someone's birthday.  So I decided I would use this cute cow image, C.C. Designs Moo-valous, and start with my card.  It is stamped on cryogen paper in memento ink.  I colored this cutie with copics.  I decided the background of the image needed to have some fun confetti around it, so I dotted the background with different colored copics and finished the edges with spun sugar distress ink.  The image is matted on black cardstock.  I used the Echo Park  This N That collection of papers.  The circle is cut with the Spellbinders Large Oval die and embellished with a flower and some extra pearls.  The scallops were done with a fiskars scallop punch.

Copics used:
BG11, BG13, BG49, E31, E37E50, E53, E55, E57, R20, R22

The inside of the card uses the left over scraps from the front of the card.  The circle is cut out with the Spellbinders Large Oval die and sentiment, by Stampabilities, is stamped with memento ink.

After I finished my card, I looked at it and realized that I did not use any ribbon.  I think I have used ribbon or trim on every card for some time now.  Maybe I am starting to change... ummm, maybe not.

Stop over and play along with our challenge to use Die Cuts or Punches!

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge – Die Cuts or Punches

Hello Friends,

This is the last post for today, so please be sure to scroll down and see the other two posts of good fun!

I am back with another weekly challenge for Loves Rubberstamps!  This weeks challenge is to use Die Cuts or Punches.  That sounds easy enough!  So pull out those dies and punches, we would love to see what you have created!  Our sponsor this week is QKR Stampede.

I created a soft pastel card using Wee Stamps –Silver Fairy image.  I used cryogen paper and copics to color this beautiful image.  I also used some Tim Holtz Distress Inks around the image to add some interest.  The entire image is surrounded by Spellbinders  Fleur  De Lis Square die cut.  The background papers are My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up.  I finished up the with another die cut and some trim.  The Greeting Farm sentiment is stamped on a rectangle and I used my cropodile to fancy the edges a bit.  I finished it with some pearl embellishments and ribbon.

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Wings:  B10, B11, B13, C0, C1, C3
Dress:  R00, R21, R22
Hair:  E50, E53, E97

I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the inside. The tag actually fits inside the bottom and pulls out.  I left it blank for now so I could write a personal note to the recipient.

Many of the items used on this card can be found at Loves Rubberstamps

Supplies:
Image:  Wee Stamps –Silver Fairy
Sentiment – Greeting Farm
Paper:  My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up
Dies:  Spellbinders  Fleur  De Lis Square & Fleur De Lis Accents
Punch:  Fiskars scalloped edge & Cropodile corner rounder
Tim Holtz Distress Inks:  Weathered wood
Embellishments:  pearls, ribbon, trim, stickles

Ok, now it is your turn, let's see what you have created!  Come on over to Loves Rubberstamps  and play along with us!
