Hope!

Hello Friends!

Friday is finally here!  It is also the end of January.  Where did the month go?  My goodness, it flew by so quick.  I can say it has been a very cold and snowy winter here and I am more than ready for spring.  So there leads to my title....Hope!  I am hoping that spring arrives very quickly this year!

I colored up this little cutie, Tiddly Inks - Fairy Tenderhearted, with copics and used Spellbinders - Labels 24 to cut out the image.  The shape ended up being perfect.  I used Simple Stories - Fabulous & My Mind's Eye for my background.  I think she looks so delicate that I used some Wild Orchid Flowers and lace to finish her off.  Then added a ticket "Hope" as I thought it fit the image perfectly!

Don't forget to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see all the fun stuff!   Also, be sure to stop by and play in our challenge this week!  It's very easy, all you have to do is use lace.  That is it for me today.  Have a fabulous weekend!

Blessings until next time...

Something a Little Different!

Hello Friends!
If you are here today for a card, sorry, I am posting something a little different, but still crafty!  I have found that when I sit on the couch to watch TV at night I figit.  Whether it is my phone cover or the TV remote, something has to be moving or clicking.  So I decided to try crocheting to keep my hands busy while I relax on the couch.  Thankfully my Mother In Law makes beautiful blankets and things with crochet, so she was able to help me get started.  So far I have just played around and made two different dish clothes.  Here is a picture of one of them.  I love the bright colors all in one skein of yarn.  It just so happened that the rows came out almost perfect with the colors.

Next, I am going to attempt a baby afghan.  We will see how that turns out.

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a great week.  Blessings until next time....

What Gives?

Good Day Crafty Friends!

How did your week go?  I hope all is well and you are ready for a nice relaxing weekend.  Maybe get those stamps out and come to join our weekly challenge at Loves Rubberstamps!  This week we have a super fun challenge to CASE a DT member.  So get to looking and come on over.

The card I have to share today would be a super easy card to CASE.  I used Make It Crafty - Snowelf which is colored with copics.  I added some stickles in the background to give a hint of snow.  I also inked the background a bit with  Iced Spruce - Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The image is simply cut out and matted with black cardstock.  The background papers are by My Mind's Eye and Simple Stories.  I simply broke the two with a strip of black ribbon.  Then I added a tag which is stamped with background lettering in Brushed Corduroy Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  The sentiment, by Sweet November,  is perfect for this image.  I think being packed in snow would really change your perspective. lol....

Supplies used:
Simple Stories - Handmade Holidays

Don't forget to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps  store to see all the fun stuff!   That is it for me today.  Have a fabulous weekend!

Thank you for stopping by.

Case Me!

Hello!

Well it is Tuesday again, so that means it is time for another challenge at Loves Rubberstamps!  This week is a fun one!  Are you ready???

This week we want you to Case Yourself or a Loves Rubberstamps Design Team Member.

Are you scratching your head trying to figure out what that means?

Well if so, all you need to do is find a card or project that we have created and make yours very similar, maybe changing a few things to make it your own!  It's that simple!  So look on the right hand side under Loves Rubberstamps Design Team and click away at each of the members.  You will find loads of beautiful work to choose from.

We also have a new sponsor this week - Aurora Wings!

Ok, so now on to my project.  This was a tough choice, as there are so many talented artist on this team, but I narrowed it down to a few and finally picked Lydia's beautiful creation.

You can find her post with this beauty here.  I just love her style.

So I followed the pattern of the card, but when I finished, I thought to myself this really doesn't look nearly as cute as Lydia's.  Well, we are going with it!   I used the Saturated Canary - Thank You image (all other supplies are listed below).  I roughed up the edges of all papers and finished it off with ribbons.  I also added a little pin made by my aunt (see the pearls and butterfly on top of the bow).  She made these for Christmas and I am having a ball using them.

Copics used:
Hair:  E29, E33, E31, E25, E50

Just Sitting Here Thinking of You!

Hello Friends!

Friday once again so that means some Friday Inspiration for Loves Rubberstamps!  I hope you had a great week!  It has been a busy one here, but that just means the weekend comes sooner!  Some of us will get an extra day this weekend, how nice. =)

So I found this adorable C. C. Designs Fuzzy Boots Birgitta in the store not to long ago.  I thought she is just adorable and would be perfect for this time of year.  Who doesn't love the warm boots, hat and sweater!  I colored here with copics then fussy cut her out so she could sit in the cute little window by Spellbinders (Labels 18).  The paper is Fancy Pants Designs - Blissful Blizzard.  I just commented the other day when Laura used it that I hadn't really used it much, so I was inspired to give it a shot.  I love the results!  I added some ribbon, bow, lace, flowers with brads and a little flag with an Amy R - Be Happy Sentiment.

Copics used:

Hello Friends!

It is Tuesday and that means it is time for another challenge at Loves Rubberstamps.  This week we want you to use Metal!

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Kenny K!

Kenny K generously provided the design team with beautiful images to use.  So I choose to use Sweet Melissa.  She is just darling and sweet!  I colored her with copic markers and fussy cut her out so that she could sit in this cute window made of Simple Stories - Fabulous papers.  I then stitched around the edges and added some lace, ribbon and my METAL embellishments!

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair:  E33, E35, E57
Pants:  E40, E41, E42, E43, E44

Here is a closer look at the metal embellishment.  The pic is not real clear, but it states "Dream as if you'll live forever".  What an awesome statement!  I love it!

The inside, I used more papers and a cut out from Simple Stories - Fabulous papers to coordinate with the front.

Supplies used:
Ribbon
Lace
Tim Holtz Metal Embellishments

Metal is always fun to use on your creations, so come and show us what you have done!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Your visit is always appreciated!

Live, Laugh, Love! Inspiration Friday at Loves Rubberstamps!

Hello!

Happy Friday!

I hope if you were hit with the frigid temps that you have made it through safely!  I don't think I have ever felt a cold like that in my life.  We had temps of -12* with wind chills of -40*.   Well, today this cute little Tiddly Inks image may just warm your heart! Aren't they just the cutest little couple you have ever seen?

I decided to put away my design paper and see what I could do with just solid sheets of card stock.  I wanted to use just two colors of paper, purple and white. I started with a white card stock and folded it into a 5.25 x 5.25 base.  Then cut a purple piece of card stock to 5 inches square.  I ran a white piece of card stock through my Vagabond with a paisley embossing plate for the background and cut it to 4.75 inches square.  I added some sheer ribbon and lace to fancy it up a bit.  I think the Tiddly Inks, Love Fully needs some fancy embellishments!

For the image, I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it with copics. It was a fun image to play with and I think they are just warm and adorable.  After I colored the image, I cut it out with Spellbinders, large ovals, and then cut a frame with the Spellbinders scalloped ovals.  I elevated the image with pop dots.  Finally, I added some flowers and Magnolia dew drops to finish it off.

Copics used:
Girl:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21
Hair:  E25, E27, E97
Dress:  V91, V93, V95, V99  RV10, RV32, RV34

Boy:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair:  T5, T7, 110
Shirt/Bow:  RV10, RV32, RV34
Shoes/Vest:  T3, T5, T7, T9
Pants:  T1, T3, T5

Supplies Used:
Spellbinders - Large Ovals & Scalloped Ovals
Magnolia Dew Drops
Lace
Ribbon

Our fabulous sponsor this week is:

I started out this challenge using both Amelia and Oliver from The Greeting Farm - Lovey Dovey set.  Once I sat down to lay out my card, I didn't have enough room for both, so you will see Oliver at a later time.  Poor guy :(  The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto cryogen paper.  I used the Spellbinders - Large Oval to cut her out and used the Scalloped Oval for the background.  I used the My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Ruby as the background,  I just loved the design paper so I did not want to do much to it but add some ribbon, doily piece and some flowers.  By the way, did you see the pin on top of the flowers?  It is beautiful!  My aunt made this along with a few others for Christmas.  So I am putting it to good use. (I will get a better close up next time).

Snow Cute - Loves Rubberstamps Friday Inspiration!

Hello Friends,

I am guessing you are wondering why I am posting on Friday... Well, I have changed my days for the new term at Loves Rubberstamps from Sunday to Friday.  So here I am to share some fun with you today!   Since I changed days, I also thought maybe I should change up my color scheme a bit and use some blue, pink and green together.  I hope the New Year has started off well for everyone!  Ours started off with a bit of snow, but I guess it is January right?  So that lead's us to the title Snow Cute.

Today I made a little card.  Actually... it ended up spilling off the 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card, but I really wanted the snowflake edges to match this adorable C. C. Designs Snow Cute image.  The image is colored with copics and I added some stickle fun for snow.  The background papers are by My Mind's Eye.  It was finished off with some ribbon, twine and a little button to match!

Make sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog and play along with our New Year's Resolutions challenge this week.  Also, check out all the fun new items that have been added to the store lately.  A little birdie told me that there were many more new items coming very soon!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a great Friday and an even better weekend!
Blessings until next time...
