Spring is coming!

Hello Friends!

I have been feeling a bit of spring weather coming on, so I hope it comes to stay very soon!  Last week I was able to get out and walk my dogs and they had such a blast and I enjoyed the warm weather.  I am ready to get out in the yard and play in the dirt and plant a garden!

So with that said, I choose to use bright spring colors for my inspiration card today!  I have used Tilda with Hawaii Flower stamped with Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black.  She is colored in bright pink Copics.  I added some grass under her feet, some ribbon, twine, charm and bling!  I also added some sewing around the edges of the inner square.

Supplies used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spun Sugar
Pink/White Twine (Thank you Jackie)
Stampin Up Ribbon (Thank you Jackie)
Bling (Thank you Jackie)

I hope you enjoyed your visit today!  Think warmer weather and spring!

Also, make sure to stop by and play along with us in the Corrugate challenge.

That is it for me today!  Have a great weekend and we will see you back next week.
Thanks for stopping by... Blessings until next time....

Best Birthday Wishes!

Happy Friday!

I hope your week went well.  The weather was a bit warmer here in Ohio which was nice!  I am very ready for spring, hence the inspiration for the card I want to share with you today.  I am tired of the dark colors, I needed to brighten things up a bit.

So I have used C.C. Designs - Ice Cream Lucy image.  What about this image does not remind  you of spring or summer?  She is colored with copics!  I added some fun tickets, twine, button and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers for embellishments.  (A list of supplies can be found at the bottom for reference.)  I used a creamy yellow cardstock as the base, for a bit of sunshine!

Supplies used:

C.C. Designs- Be Happy Sentiments (one of my favorites)
Stampers Anonymous (soon to be added to the store!)
Twine
Button

Keep in mind our challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps, we want to see a funny sentiment!  Also make sure to check out the new items in the store.  Laura has been teasing us with a bunch of fun new items to come.  So make sure to keep your eyes peeled!

That is it for me today!  I hope you have a fantastic Friday and an even better weekend ahead!

Hugs,
Athina

PTT 111 - Luck of the Irish

Good Morning Friends!

Another green post for you today!  So have you gotten the green out of the closet yet?  Today we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day at Party Time Tuesdays!  The challenge - Luck of the Irish.

We have three fabulous sponsors this week.

So I created a card using Saint Patty Owen generously provided by The Paper Nest Dolls.  I printed the digi out on cryogen paper and colored him with copics.  I choose to go a bit darker than your normal St. Patty green and added dark violet instead of black.  I cut and matted the image using Spellbinders Labels 23.  The papers were kindly provided by our sponsor, The Robin's Nest.  I matted all the layers and added some twine with a shamrock attached.

Copics used:
E000, E00, E21, E44, BV20, BV25, BV29, G24, G85, Y28, YG93, YG95, YG97, W5, W2

The inside sentiment is Irish Blessing 2 by High Hopes stamps.  It makes me giggle every time I read it.  I also adorned the inside with papers and rubon's by The Robin's Nest.  The punched edge was done with an EK Success punch.

Ok, so let's see your Irish spirit!  Come on over to Party Time Tuesdays and share with us for a chance to win some awesome prizes from our sponsors!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Red Carpet Studio - Leprechaun (2 shades of green)

PTT Challenge # 110 - Die Cuts

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to another busy Tuesday here at Stella, Roo & Fena Too!  The sun is shining out and I know it is going to be a great day!

Today at Party Time Tuesday's we have several fabulous sponsors for our Die Cuts challenge.  The Robin's Nest, Papelitos Stamps & our month of March sponsor The Paper Nest Dolls.

Papelito's Stamps provided this goofy guy digi image, Peter for me to color.  It appeared to me that he danced to the beat of his own drum but was likely very creative.  I like him.  So I colored him up with my copics and cut the image out with my large Deckled Rectangle spellbinders die.  I used some walnut stain distress ink around the image and set him off with some black card stock.  The background of the card is done with My Mind's Eye Lost and Found paper line.  These colors are some of my favorite in the pack.  I used an EK Success punch to trim the bottom yellow design paper.  I added some chipboard die puzzle pieces covered with matching papers.  Tied them up with twine and topped them off with a button.  The sentiment is from Traveling Colors by Saturated Canary.   I also used the large Deckled Rectangle by spellbinders and offset it with black card stock.  It is finished with black and white ribbon and a safety pin by Tim Holtz.  Quick tip, the white on the ribbon was too bright, so I used my distress ink and went over it with some walnut stain.  It softened it a bit and made it match the card better.

Copics used:
Hair:  C3, C5, C7, C9
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13
Shirt:  YR23, YR24, YR27
Jacket:  G20, G21, G24
Sack:  E21, E25, E29
Pants:  E81, E84, E87
Shoes:  E21, E25, E29, W00, W1, W2

For the inside, I used the same background layout as the front.  But I only added one chipboard die puzzle piece.  The tag was cut with my Silhouette and inked with Tim Holtz distress inks.    I loved the look of the tag with the notebook paper bottom and the circles cut out of it.

Distress Inks used:
Dried Marigold,
Peeled Paint
Mustard Seed
Black Soot

Ok, so now it is your turn!  Come on over to Party Time Tuesday's and show us your creation with die cuts.  There are several fabulous prizes this week!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Avenue 613 - Anything Goes Tic Tac Toe (die cuts, image, free)

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration 3/3

Hello Blogging Friends!

Welcome to March! Spring is just around the corner and I can't wait for the warmer weather.  I love getting outside and feeling the warm sunshine and working in the yard.  Of course by the end of summer, I am never as excited to do the yard work.  Hmmm...

Today I am sharing Sensational Sunday Inspiration with Loves Rubberstamps!  So my inspiration starts with the cute little Bild Malarna image, Mimosa - Hat.  She looks so sweet just sitting there.  I stamped the image with Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with copics.  After I colored the image, I fussy cut her out so that I could perch her on a window ledge.  The window ledge is actually the My Favorite Things Round Banner die.  I also used pop up glue dots to give her some extra dimension.

The background is done with the Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper pack.  All the papers coordinate so beautifully.  I peeled down the corner added some stitching and a brad in the corner.  I thought it needed something extra, so I used a Tim Holtz adage ticket for the sentiment with some burlap, button, twine and some lace.

Copics used:
Hat/Pants:  E40, E41, E43
Skin:  E000, E00 E21
Hair:  E09, E09, YR21
Shirt:  YG93, YG95, YG97
Boots:  E71, E74, E77, E71, E74, E77
Flowers:  YR20, YR21, YR24
Background airbrushed with BG10, BG11, BG13

For the inside, I used coordinating Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper pack with some extra lace to trim it out.

Come on over and join this weeks challenge "Tags".  Also make sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration blog and leave the wonderful design team a comment for a chance to win a gift voucher to the store for some fun supplies!

Party Time Tuesdays #109 Anything Goes

Hi Friends!

I am back today with another challenge for Party Time Tuesdays!  This week is an easy one - Anything Goes!  So come on over and show us what you are working on.

Since we are doing anything goes, I decided to switch it up a bit.  Again, I did not use my copics,   I made this altered wood wall hanging for my mother in law.  My husband asked me to make it for her, so he agreed to go to Hobby Lobby to help me pick out the wooded and cardboard letters to spell QUILT.  We originally picked out matching style of letters, but decided to get a bit funkier.  So he sat in the floor of Hobby Lobby while I handed him different letter styles.  Then we would arrange them until we decided on a final layout for them.

So once I got them home, I used a variety of items to decorate them.  For the Q (in the very background, I used My Mind's Eye papers and tim holtz distress ink.  I tore the paper and then inked the edges.  I attached the paper in various directions with mod podge.  I love that stuff!  Then I finished the Q with a crocheted doily for the leg of the letter.

I cut out more paper and mod podged it onto the U.  Once it dried, I used various stamps from Stampers Anonymous, XXX set.  I also used some distress embossing powder in a few places.  To finish it off, I tied some twine with a spool of thread on one side and tied some material to the other side.  All edges were inked with distress ink.

I covered the background with some more matching paper.  This paper has a yard stick on it, appropriate for a quilting theme.  I attached some lace to the top and bottom with a sewing machine button.  For the middle, I tied some twine around it and used the twine to hang a little pair of scissors.

I think the L is my favorite letter of all.  I added some paper and then used distress inks to stamp with the same stamp set.  I also used a hounds tooth background stamp on the edges.  I love that stamp, but I haven't come up with many ways to use it just yet.

Since the T could easily be used for a bolt of fabric, I cut some fabric and wrapped it around the long part of the T.  I pinned it with a crystal pin and tucked the ends in.

This was a lot of fun to put together.  I did have to make a few trips to Hobby Lobby since I did not like how a few of the letters turned out originally.  But in the end, I was happy with the result.

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration 2/10

Hello Friends!

Valentines Day is just a few days away.  Are you ready?  I am back today with a Sensational Sunday Inspiration card for Loves Rubberstamps.  You have to stop over there and see all the great inspiration projects today.  They are amazing!

I think this is probably my favorite card that I have done for Valentines Day.  I have used My Mind's Eye, Lost & Found Ruby collection for the background.  The dark gray was cut down the center and the sides folded back.  The pack is double sided, so I got a cute design on the edges that were folded down.  I added some trim, bow, brads and twine to embellish around the image.  I also used a prima flower and a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.  The image, Little Ladybug by Saturated Canary, is stamped with memento ink on cryogen paper.  The edges are inked with weathered wood distress ink.  The antenna and dress are highlighted with stickles.

Copics used:
Hair:  E34, E50, E53, E57
Skin:  E000, E00, E21, R20
Dress: R20, R24, R29, R39
Balls:  C0, C3, C7

I followed the same pattern inside with the paper.

Come on over to the Loves Rubberstamps inspiration blog and leave a comment for the very talented design team.  By doing so, you will be entered into a chance of winning a voucher to the Loves Rubberstamps Store.

{PIN}spirational Challenge #43

Hello Friends!

Welcome back to my blog if you are returning, I appreciate your visit!  If you are new to my blog, thank you for stopping by to check it out!

I have three posts for today, so please be sure to scroll up and see the other two for today.  We are now only a little over a week away from Valentine’s Day.  So the image for {PIN}spirational Challenges this week is very fitting!  Check it out!

Our Sponsors this week are:

Eureka Stamps

The Pink Petal

I am using the digi image Hearty Moose generously provided by Eureka Stamps.  Isn’t he the sweetest?  I have a thing for moose, they are just adorable.  But from what I hear they are filled with ticks and other bad things.  Too bad, huh?  The image is printed on cryogen paper and colored with copics.  The background papers are by My Minds Eye, Lost and Found.  Sticking with my recent obsession to not make regular cards, I made this one an easel card.  It is a super easy fold and so fun to have the image displayed with some extra fun on the bottom.  I finished the card off with some ribbon, a button, twine and some gem stones.  The inside is finished with matching papers to the outside and a couple of buttons to help the card stand up when displayed.

I have used the following copics:
Rack:  E30, E31, E35
Body: E31, E33, E35, E37
Hearts:  R89

Ok, now it is your turn.  How does this picture speak to you?  Come on over and show us at {PIN}spirational Challenges!  We would love to see your beautiful creations!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
