Hello Friends!
I am back with another {PIN}spirational Challenge! In case you don't know what the {PIN}spirational Challenge is all about, well let me share with you. Each week you are given a picture for inspiration. All you have to do is create based on that picture. So here is this weeks picture:
Our Sponsors:
When you see my card, you will likely think, what does this have to do with mermaids? Well, it doesn't. Instead I focused on the browns and golds for my card. I embossed in gold, a clock background. Then a brown tree. I distressed the edges and added a ribbon and brad. The base is kraft.
For the inside, I used more gold and distress inks. Tim Holtz: Clear Embossing Ink, Distress Embossing Powder (Vintage Photo), Enchanted Gold Embossing Powder, Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky and Walnut Stain distress ink. Stamps: Penny Black - Fantasy & Clock Face Background. I have to say, it is a bit of a sad day for me, as it will be my last post with {PIN}spirational Challenge. I have made the decision to step down and reduced some stress in my life. But I am sure I will be back to play along with the fabulous design team challenges in the future. A special thanks to our great leader Deanne!
Be sure to come over to {PIN}spirational Challenge and play along with us!
Thank you for stopping by. Don't for get to scroll for the other two posts for today.
Blessings until next time....

Loves Rubberstamps - For the Love of Chocolate
Hello Blogging Friends!
Have we got a challenge for you over at Loves Rubberstamps today! I have always loved chocolate. In fact, chocolate chip cookies with ice cream is my absolute favorite. So what a better challenge than "For the Love of Chocolate". Meljen's Designs is our fabulous sponsor this week!
I had so much fun creating this card and love how it turned out. I used Magnolia, Tilda with a Love Cake, as the image. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on cryogen paper. This little cutie is colored with copics. After she was colored, I distressed the edges and added some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink around the edges. I matted her on some burgundy card stock that was also distressed. The background papers are by Simple Stories Awesome collection and the Echo Park This and That collection. I wanted a bit of brown on cream, so I used a piece of cream cardstock with a Stampabilities paisley background stamp with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink and stamped the background. I then used the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool & Foam to darken the cream color a bit with some more distress ink. I used more of the Krylex bandage roll in the background. After adding the heart (more info to follow), I added a Tim Holtz metal embellishment tied with The Pink Petal ribbon.
What fun this card was to create! So now we want to see your chocolate creations over at Loves Rubberstamps.

Just a closer look at the heart. It is distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink. I frayed some lace and added some more ink. Placed some burlap behind the brad and added a pin.
Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E11, E15, E18, E19
Pants: BG000, BG72, BG75, BG78
Shirt/Hat: E40, E41, E43
Shoes/Cake: E53, E55, E57, E59
The inside is finished with matching Simple Stories papers from the front of the card. I used the blue hounds tooth paper as a negative where the heart was cut out and set the sentiment behind it. The sentiment is by xxxxxxx. I added some lace that the edges are frayed and I used some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink to dirty up the lace a bit. It is finished with a button and twine. All edges have been distressed.

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration 3/10
Hello,
I hope you all are having a great weekend! I have had a few extra days off and have really enjoyed the time. Work has been really hectic lately, so it was much appreciated that I could take some time off. I am back today with another Sensational Sunday Inspiration project for Loves Rubberstamps. Make sure to stop over to the Inspiration blog to see what all the other fabulous ladies have made for inspiration today.
I have used the adorable Apple Blossom stamp from the Little Cottage Cuties Collection by Elisabeth Bell (Whimsy Stamps). Isn't she just the sweetest? I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on cryogen paper. She is colored with copics. I used the air brushing to make some clouds also in the background and also colored some grass for her to stand on. Everyone loves the feel of grass on their bare feet right? I used Spellbinders Labels 18 to cut out the image. The papers are all by Simple Stories, Summer Fresh line. I just love the rich colors. I tore the papers and added some walnut stain distress ink and some stitching around the edges for some extra fun. I finished her off with some ribbon from The Pink Petal, a button, twine, safety pin and some pearls. I have to say, I was thrilled with the way she turned out.
