Happy Easter to all of you!

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $10 Loves Rubberstamps store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love for the Designers! You have until Saturday, April 6th, at 8pm CST. Have fun and we hope that you enjoy the hop!

If you've arrived here from Dangina's blog you are right on track! If not, I have posted the whole blog hop list below just in case you get lost along the way!

I have had a few different projects for this Sunday and I have scrapped them all, just not feeling them if you know what I mean.  But, I finally came up with this...  A fun little gift card holder to share with someone special.  I have used a Whimsy Wee Stamp called LOVE-TRIP.  They look so in love, don't they?  I used my copics to color the sweeties up.  It is stamped with Tuexedo Black Memento ink on cryogen paper.  The background papers are by My Minds Eye and Reflections.  I finished the outside off with a few flowers, ribbon and a heart charm.  The card is actually a pocket.

The inside is cut and folded a few times and punched with a scalloped edge EK Success punch.  I added some pearls, a gem stone button and some ribbon.  I used a pin to hold a cute little sentiment by Stampavie.  I also inked the background of the sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Mustard Seed.

Copics used:
BG13, BG15, BG49, C1, C3, C7, E31, E33, E35, E50, E51, E53,
Y00, Y04, Yo6, YR61, YR65, YR68

Your next stop on the hop is Shanna!

Athina (you are here!)

We hope you have fun on the hop today!  It is a great way to see what the very talented design team is up to!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you and your family have a blessed Easter!

Easter is quickly approaching!  Have you told the Easter bunny what you want in your basket?  Well, our challenge this week at Loves Rubberstamps is quite fitting - Easter!   We have a fantastic sponsor this week - Sweet N Sassy.

I don't typically send Easter cards, but I thought that I could use this cute little Bild Malarna image, Mimosa Easter as a fun card to cheer up a co-worker.  I went with bright papers by Echo Park, This and That and Glitz Cashmere Dame collections.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with copics.  I then used the Spellbinders Large Oval die to cut out he image and she is framed with Spellbinders Large Scalloped Oval die.  I used a scalloped punch by Fiskars to add some texture to the layers of paper.  It is finished off with some lace, tulle, flowers and a button.

Copics used:

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration 3/24

Good Sunday Morning!

I hope you are have a fantabulous weekend!  I am back today with a post for Loves Rubberstamps Sensational Sunday Inspiration!   I hope the weather is turning warm where you are and any signs of winter are fading.  I have a fun little card for you today!  I love the bright colors and when I sat down to lay this card out, I had one special little girl in mind.  She is so sweet, talented and such a good young lady.  This year for her birthday she wants a Zebra-riffic party!  What fun that will be!

So I started by stamping the Saturated Canary image, Bella, onto cryogen paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  She is colored with copics.  I choose bright pink and green since they are such fun colors.  I don't know about you, but I would love to be outside right now roller blading.  My family tells me I am too old and need to give it up due to a couple of accidents in the past, but it is such a free feeling.  I just love it!  Anyhow, after the image was colored, I used Spellbinders Labels 25 die to cut her out.  I used Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick distress ink to ink the edges.  The papers are from the Echo Park, Love Story collection.

The card itself is a 5x7 and I made a little pocket so I could fit a tag in it.  Can you see the pink ribbon on both the outside and the tag?  Well, it started out white.  I used my copics to color it and make it match the rest of the card.  I just did not have that color ribbon in my stash.  I used a jewel on top of the bow and added a bit of white tulle behind it.  The edges were punched with a fiskars scalloped punch.  I tied some more tulle around the outside and added a black and pink flower to match.

The tag below is cut out of black cardstock.  I added some more Echo Park, Love Story paper to the bottom of the tag and finished off the top with ribbon (colored with copics), tulle, a flower and a brad.  The sentiment is embossed and hard to see in the picture, but it says Dare to be Fabulous by Stampin Up.  It shines in person!

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21
Hair:  E11, E13, E15, E18
Shirt/Socks/Skates:  C3, C5, C7, RV10, RV23, RV14, RV25, YG000, YG03, YG06

So I hope I have inspired you to get outside and play, but before you do, why not stop over to the  Loves Rubberstamps Sensational Sunday Inspiration blog and leave the design team some love.   By doing so, you will be entered into a chance to win a gift voucher to the Loves Rubberstamps Store.  Laura is adding all kinds of new goodies!  Also you have just one day left to enter into our "For the Love of Chocolate" challenge going on now!

Ok so now to the card, the reason you are here right? The image is a fluffy little snowman and was generously provided by Anji's Antics.  I printed the image on cryogen paper and colored it with my copics.  I cut out the image with Spellbinders Circle die cut and framed it with some burlap.  The background papers are by My Minds Eye and the sentiment on the outside is by Magnolia.  I added some ribbon from The Pink Petal a snowflake some pearls and twine.

I used chipped sapphire distress ink and walnut stain around the image.   I also added liquid applique to the hat and gloves with some extra glitter.  This little snowman has gotten a bit dirty, but I think he will be ok.  It goes along with the distressed look of the card.

Loves Rubberstamps - For the Love of Chocolate

Hello Blogging Friends!

Have we got a challenge for you over at Loves Rubberstamps today!  I have always loved chocolate.  In fact, chocolate chip cookies with ice cream is my absolute favorite.  So what a better challenge than "For the Love of Chocolate".  Meljen's Designs is our fabulous sponsor this week!

I had so much fun creating this card and love how it turned out.  I used Magnolia, Tilda with a Love Cake, as the image.  It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on cryogen paper.  This little cutie is colored with copics.  After she was colored, I distressed the edges and added some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink around the edges.  I matted her on some burgundy card stock that was also distressed.  The background papers are by Simple Stories Awesome collection and the Echo Park This and That collection.  I wanted a bit of brown on cream, so I used a piece of cream cardstock with a Stampabilities paisley background stamp with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink and stamped the background.  I then used the Inkssentials Ink Blending Tool & Foam to darken the cream color a bit with some more distress ink.  I used more of the Krylex bandage roll in the background.  After adding the heart (more info to follow), I added a Tim Holtz  metal embellishment tied with The Pink Petal ribbon.

Just a closer look at the heart.  It is distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink.  I frayed some lace and added some more ink.  Placed some burlap behind the brad and added a pin.

Copics used:
 Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
Hair:  E11, E15, E18, E19
Pants:  BG000, BG72, BG75, BG78
Shirt/Hat:  E40, E41, E43
Shoes/Cake:  E53, E55, E57, E59

The inside is finished with matching Simple Stories papers from the front of the card.  I used the blue hounds tooth paper as a negative where the heart was cut out and set the sentiment behind it.  The sentiment is by xxxxxxx.  I added some lace that the edges are frayed and I used some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink to dirty up the lace a bit.  It is finished with a button and twine.  All edges have been distressed.

What fun this card was to create!  So now we want to see your chocolate creations over at Loves Rubberstamps.

PTT 112 - Color

Hi Friends!

Easter is just a few weeks away and spring is on the way!  I can't wait for sunny warm days so we can get out side and enjoy the day.  I am back with another challenge today with Party Time Tuesdays!  This week is a color challenge.  Aren't the pastel colors pretty?

Our sponsors this week:

Our fabulous sponsors provided us with some awesome goodies this week to play with.  The image is generously provided by The Paper Nest Dolls. The Robin's Nest kindly provided us some glitter paper and dew drops to use.  The image is Cupcake Anyone and is printed on cryogen paper and colored with copics.  I matted her using Spellbinders Fleur de lis Rectangles die.  For the card, I used an altered concertina fold card.  The tutorial can be found here.  I punched the top with EK success punch and decorated it with MME, Prima, and The Robin's Nest papers.  I added some embossing to the yellow cardstock to give it some fun texture and added some Robin's Nest dew drops and a flower to decorate the card.

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E21
Hair:  E11, E13, E15, E18
Dress/Shoes:  BG11, BG15, BG32, RV32, RV34
Cupcakes:  Y00, Y11, Y02, BV0000, BV000, BV20

When I said altered concertina card earlier, I added a pocket to the back of the card and made a tag.  I just feel like there is no place for a sentiment or a note on this card without it.  I made the tag using Tim Holtz distress inks (Peacock Feathers, Spun Sugar and Mustard Seed).  I flicked some water onto the tag and heated it.  I added flourishes around the outside of the tag to add some depth.  The heart was embossed with Peacock Feathers distress ink and clear embossing powder.  Once finished with all the ink, it was finished with some flowers, a brad and tulle.  The sentiment is by Amy R "Magical Wishes".   It fits nicely in the pocket on the back.

Ok, so you have seen mine, I want to see yours!  Come on over to Party Time Tuesdays and show us your creations inspired by the colors in the picture above.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Oozak - Spring (Anything Goes)
Sparkle N Sprinkle - Anything Goes with Glitter
Little Claires Designs - Cards with Folds
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by today.  Please be sure to stop by and see the other two posts for today.

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration 3/17

Good Morning,

I hope you have had a great weekend so far and have something nice and relaxing planned for today!  I am back with another Sensational Sunday Inspiration post for Loves Rubberstamps!

As you know, I have been having a lot of fun with my silhouette and this project is no exception.  I didn't get my copics out at all on this project!  A few weeks ago, my company did a quarter auction to benefit Relay for Life.  I was asked if I would mind providing a gift to help the cause.  Cancer has affected so many of us directly or indirectly, so I was glad to help.

It took me several weeks to determine what I would make.  Until finally I came up with this...

LOVE...FAITH....LIFE

I love pink, so I thought I could gear this towards breast cancer.  I bough three tera cotta pots from the local craft store.  I painted them with pink craft paint, then added some crackle medium and let it dry for a few hours.  I then added some more white craft paint and let the crackle happen.  I decorated the pots with various ribbon, buttons, flowers and lace.

I found these cute little seed pack SVG files at the Cutting Cafe.  I cut them out from Echo Park and My Minds Eye paper.  Then wrapped them around the cheery flower seeds I had purchased.  I cut out circles with my spellbinders dies and used the My Minds Eye Lost and Found clear stamp set to stamp in Worn Lipstick Distress ink the doilies for the labels.  I then used rub ons to add the words Love, Faith and Life.  I used a seal cut out on the silhouette in black behind the circles, added some fun ribbons and a charm to each pack.

I filled the pots with some dirt and tied some ribbon around them.

Here are close ups of the pots:

I hope you have gained some inspiration today.  Please be sure to stop over to Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration blog and leave some love for the rest of the design team.  They would love to hear from you.  By leaving them a comment, you will be entered into a drawing for a gift voucher to the Loves Rubberstamps store.  Also, don't forget to enter our St. Patricks Day or Green challenge going on now.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
