PTT #124 - Fancy Folds

Good Morning Friends!

It is Tuesday, so another challenge is here for PTT!  This week is all about fancy folds.  So make sure you show us your creations using more than one fold.

I decided not to use my copics on this one.  I wanted to play around with my other love, distress inks!  For my fold, I am using an Upright Z Fold card.  I love the way it turned out.  I used kraft paper for the back of the card and then white card stock for the inked pieces.

I used the MFT round banner die to cut out the top.  I embossed the Tim Holtz Retro Holiday  snowman image and inked around it in blues.  I added some snowflakes in different shades of blue to add some dimension.

I added another Tim Holtz image embossed with blue ink.  Tied some twine and a button on the front.

I used the MFT mix and match round banner with the calendar month stamped on it to hold the top of the card.

I dry embossed the background with clear embossing ink and embossing powder.  I used the Stampendous Christmas background.  After I dry embossed it, I used a variety of brown inks in an embossing resist technique.

The inside sentiment is by Printworks.  I emboss resist some additional snowflakes under the sentiment.

Tim Holtz Distress Inks used:
Clear
Gathered Twigs
Brushed Corduroy
Walnut Stain
Chipped Saphire
Broken China
Faded Jeans

So it is your turn!  Get your score pal out and come share some fun folds with us this week at PTT!

I would like to enter into the following challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I always enjoy reading the lovely comments you leave behind with your visit!

Blessings until next time....

{PIN}spirational Challenge # 60

Hello Friends!

I am back with another {PIN}spirational Challenge!  In case you don't know what the {PIN}spirational Challenge is all about, well let me share with you.  Each week you are given a picture for inspiration.  All you have to do is create based on that picture.  So here is this weeks picture:

Our Sponsors:

When you see my card, you will likely think, what does this have to do with mermaids?  Well, it doesn't.  Instead I focused on the browns and golds for my card.  I embossed in gold, a clock background.  Then a brown tree.  I distressed the edges and added a ribbon and brad.  The base is kraft.

For the inside, I used more gold and distress inks.

Supplies used:
Tim Holtz:  Clear Embossing Ink, Distress Embossing Powder (Vintage Photo), Enchanted Gold Embossing Powder, Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky and Walnut Stain distress ink.
Stamps:  Penny Black - Fantasy & Clock Face Background.

I have to say, it is a bit of a sad day for me, as it will be my last post with {PIN}spirational Challenge.   I have made the decision to step down and reduced some stress in my life.  But I am sure I will be back to play along with the fabulous design team challenges in the future.  A special thanks to our great leader Deanne!

Be sure to come over to {PIN}spirational Challenge and play along with us!

Thank you for stopping by.  Don't for get to scroll for the other two posts for today.
Blessings until next time....

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration 3/24

Good Sunday Morning!

I hope you are have a fantabulous weekend!  I am back today with a post for Loves Rubberstamps Sensational Sunday Inspiration!   I hope the weather is turning warm where you are and any signs of winter are fading.  I have a fun little card for you today!  I love the bright colors and when I sat down to lay this card out, I had one special little girl in mind.  She is so sweet, talented and such a good young lady.  This year for her birthday she wants a Zebra-riffic party!  What fun that will be!

So I started by stamping the Saturated Canary image, Bella, onto cryogen paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  She is colored with copics.  I choose bright pink and green since they are such fun colors.  I don't know about you, but I would love to be outside right now roller blading.  My family tells me I am too old and need to give it up due to a couple of accidents in the past, but it is such a free feeling.  I just love it!  Anyhow, after the image was colored, I used Spellbinders Labels 25 die to cut her out.  I used Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick distress ink to ink the edges.  The papers are from the Echo Park, Love Story collection.

The card itself is a 5x7 and I made a little pocket so I could fit a tag in it.  Can you see the pink ribbon on both the outside and the tag?  Well, it started out white.  I used my copics to color it and make it match the rest of the card.  I just did not have that color ribbon in my stash.  I used a jewel on top of the bow and added a bit of white tulle behind it.  The edges were punched with a fiskars scalloped punch.  I tied some more tulle around the outside and added a black and pink flower to match.

The tag below is cut out of black cardstock.  I added some more Echo Park, Love Story paper to the bottom of the tag and finished off the top with ribbon (colored with copics), tulle, a flower and a brad.  The sentiment is embossed and hard to see in the picture, but it says Dare to be Fabulous by Stampin Up.  It shines in person!

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21
Hair:  E11, E13, E15, E18
Shirt/Socks/Skates:  C3, C5, C7, RV10, RV23, RV14, RV25, YG000, YG03, YG06

Loves Rubber Stamps - Have a Heart

Good Morning,
I am back with three more challenges for you today.  Please be sure to check out the other two posts and come to play along with us!

This weeks challenge at Loves Rubberstamps is Have a Heart.  All you have to do is have a heart on your creation, easy peasy!  We have a fabulous sponsor, Kenny K, who provided images for us to use.  Now, I have to admit, the image I used is a bit out of my normal.  However, I have learned that you will not grow if you don’t try something new.  So here goes….

Again stepping away from my normal square card, I have created a tag that I can use with a Valentines gift basket I plan to donate to a quarter auction for Relay for Life.  For the tag, I have used a kraft tag and inked around it with black soot distress ink.  I cut out My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline paper to add to the tag.  I distressed it and sewed it to the kraft tag.  Believe it or not, I do not have a heart die.  Well, I have a cricut cartridge that has a heart, but my cricut is buried right now.  So I just cut out my own heart.  I dry embossed it with a Tim Holtz alterations folder.  The image is Kenny K’s Sexy Cupid.  I colored her with my copics and rough cut her out.  I really liked her once I was done!  The tag was finished with some ribbon, a key charm and a WhiWhimsymsy sentiment.

Copics used:
 Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair:  E39, E30, E35, E39
Outfit:  BG11, BF72, BG78, R24, R27, R89
Boots:  W00, W3, W5, W7
Wings:  W00, W1, W2, 0
Arrows:  E30, E35 C3, C5

Ok, so now it is your turn! Come on over to LovesRubberstamps Challenge and play along with us!

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #103– Color

Hello Friends!

I have three posts today, so please make sure to scroll thru to get them all!

Today at Party Time Tuesday we have a color challenge for you!

Aren't these fun colors?  And I would also like to give a shout out to our generous sponsor Bugaboo who provided the image for today.  I had a lot of fun coloring this cute little Ladybug Stack digi image.

I printed the image on cryogen paper and colored them with copics (colors below).  I cut the image out with my spellbinders die and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink.  I saw the cutest card by Carole about a month ago that flipped up instead of the normal folds.  I remembered it and had to give it a try myself.  So I put the image on an embossed background and matted it with gray cardstock.  I embellished it with a punched edge, ribbon and a button.  You lift up the ribbon to reveal the inside of the card.

Copics used:
Leaves:  G20, G21, G24, G28
Grass:  W5, G24, G28, YG97
Ladybugs& Flowers:  B21, B24, B26, B28, B29, C3, C5, C7, C9, Y00, Y11, Y15, YR23, YR24

So here is the inside with the flip up in the front.  Cute, isn't it?  The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
Supplies used:

Sentiment:  Hero Arts
Paper:  My Minds Eye & Misc stash
Dies:  Spellbinders Labels 23

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #102 – Shimmer, Sparkle & Shine

Hello Friends!

I am back with a couple of posts for today, so please make sure to catch them all!  We are partying over at Party Time Tuesdays!  Every Tuesday we have a new challenge and today's challenge is Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine!  Oh the fun we could get into with this!  Our sponsor QKR Stampede generously provided a few images for us to use.  I am using "Pegasus".

Please forgive the pictures, it is hard to see the sparkle and shine, but trust me, it is there!  I used MME glitter paper as the background and for the three squares on the right hand side.  The "Pegasus" digi image is printed on cryogen paper and colored with copics.  After I colored the image, I used a glitter pen and stickles on the wings and hair (this is difficult to see in the picture).  I finished off the image with distress ink and a flourish stamp in the same color.  The sentiment on the tag is by American Art Stamp.  I embossed with silver some flourishes around the tag as well.

Copics used:
BG000, BG10, BG11, BV0000, BV000, BV20, BV23C0, C1, C2, C3, 0, R81, R83, R85, BV0000, BV000, BV20, BV23

Supplies used:
Image:  QKR Stampede “Pegasus”
Sentiment:  American Art Stamp
Paper:  My Minds Eye
Embellishments:  ribbon, tag, embossing powder & ink, Distress ink (Spun Sugar), stickles

Thanks for taking a look!  Come on, get out that messy, fun glitter and sparkle and play along with us at Party Time Tuesdays.
