Spring is coming!

Hello Friends!

I have been feeling a bit of spring weather coming on, so I hope it comes to stay very soon!  Last week I was able to get out and walk my dogs and they had such a blast and I enjoyed the warm weather.  I am ready to get out in the yard and play in the dirt and plant a garden!

So with that said, I choose to use bright spring colors for my inspiration card today!  I have used Tilda with Hawaii Flower stamped with Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black.  She is colored in bright pink Copics.  I added some grass under her feet, some ribbon, twine, charm and bling!  I also added some sewing around the edges of the inner square.

Supplies used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spun Sugar
Pink/White Twine (Thank you Jackie)
Stampin Up Ribbon (Thank you Jackie)
Bling (Thank you Jackie)

I hope you enjoyed your visit today!  Think warmer weather and spring!

Also, make sure to stop by and play along with us in the Corrugate challenge.

That is it for me today!  Have a great weekend and we will see you back next week.
Thanks for stopping by... Blessings until next time....

Hello Friends!

Today’s Party Time Tuesdays challenge is a color challenge.  I love reds, blacks and whites together, so this was a fun challenge for me.

I have used My Mind’s Eye papers on a black background.  The image, Magnolia, Lady Bug Tilda, was stamped on cryogen paper and cut out with My Favorite Things round banner die.  I kept this card very simple with just a Sizzix Flourish #10, some perfect pearls, stickles and button with a little tulle behind it.

Loves Rubberstamps - Sensational Sunday Inspiration

Hello Blogging Friends!

I am back with another Sunday Inspiration post for Loves Rubberstamps.  I am trying really hard to get away from making so many square cards each week.  I feel the need to mix it up.  So today I am sharing with you a Concertina Card with a little added from me.  This fold is actually very easy to do, you can check out the tutorial here

I used kraft cardstock to create the backing.  I followed the tutorial for folding and covered the card base with My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found paper.  I did add an additional backing to the card that was about an inch taller than the card itself.  I left the top open and used a Fiskars scalloped punch on the edges.  I made a tag using Spellbinders Labels 18 die.

The image Tilda with Ribbon Heart Scarf, by Magnolia, is stamped with memento ink on cryogen paper.  I colored her up with my usual copic markers.  I added some extra sparkle to the snowflakes with stickles and perfect pearls.  I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels 18.  To decorate the rest of the card, I embossed some snowflakes and used some snowflake charms to add some character.  The snowflake charm on the front is hung with white tulle and tied with twine.

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11
Hat/Scarf:  RV34, RV81, RV85
Jacket/Boots:  E50, E53, E55
Hair:  E29, E30, E35, E39

I used the same Spellbinders die to cut out a tag to put in between the backings.  I stamped the tag with Printworks Collection sentiment and finished it off with another charm, tulle and ribbon.

Sunflower Birthday!

Hello Blogging Friends!

I made this little card for a coworker and I love the way it turned out!  The colors are bright, but yet have a fall feel in the image and the golden flowers.  I used a sketch from Seems a Little Sketchy.

I colored the image on cryogen paper using my copics.  I used distress inks around the image to take away some of the white color.  The paper is by Recollections, it is a new pack I picked up last week and it is so cute.  It really reminds me of MME paper.  Of course I finished her off with some flowers, a pearly brad and a button.  The inside was plain so that all my coworkers could put their birthday wishes inside, so I did not photograph it.

Copics Used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair:  E50, E51, E53, E55
Dress:  BG11, BG72, BG75, Y11, Y21, Y35, R00, R02, R05

Happy Birthday Barb!

Hello Blogging Friends!

Today is Barb's birthday.  Please stop by and wish her a Happy Birthday here.  She is a friend from my Craft Gals blogging group over at SCS.  She is retired, but I tell you she is always on the go and doing lots of fun things.  She is really someone to admire and hope that your retirement can be just as fun!

I had a lot of fun creating this card.  I combined my two loves, Tim Holtz and copics!!  I thought this would be perfect for Barb as she enjoys the outdoors.

I colored the image with copies and used distress ink around the top edges.  The bottom was also colored with copics, but I forgot to write down those colors.
Copics used:
Hat & Shoes:  E31, E33, E35, E37
Hair:  E50, E53, E55, E57
Dress:  YG93, YG95, YG97
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Pumpkins:  E99, YR24, YR27, E35

The background of the card was created using Tim Holtz distress inks.  The edges were distressed and inked as well.  I used the emboss resist technique to stamp some  of the leaves.  Other leaves were stamped directly with distress ink onto the background to give them depth and texture.  I layered the background as well.  I used Printworks Thanksgiving Blessings stamps for the leaves.

I wanted to make the inside a bit fun also.  I stamped the background paper with leaves in various colors of distress ink.

For the tag, I used more distress ink and stamped some different colored leaves around the edges.  I finished it off with twine and ribbon and the sentiment by Stampabilities.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:
Clearly i stamp - Fall into Fall
Crafty Mess - Distressed/Aged
Emergency Crafters - Autumn Leaves
Craft us Crazy - Halloween or Anything Goes

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Happy Birthday
Lil Red Wagon - Inspiration Photo

I hope you enjoyed your visit today.  Please stop by again soon to see what else I have been up to.  Also make sure to visit Barb and leave her some birthday wishes!

Until next time....

Fall Pumpkins!

Hello Friends!

Today I have a fun fall Tilda card to share with you.  I got inspiration for the layout from Jenny Pete.  I loved the country feel of her card.  Fall is finally here so I pulled out my fall stamps and started coloring.  After I colored Tilda with Pumpkins, I decided to do a cracked glass technique to make the card look a little more rustic.  What do you think?

The paper is by MME and I distress it.  The background layer is stitched around the edges.  The image is colored on cryogen paper.  The flourish is a spellbinders die.  I finished her off with four brads around the outside perimeter of the card.

Here is the colored image before the cracked glass technique:

Here is the image after the cracked glass technique:

Copics used:
Hat:  W2, W3, W5, W7
Dress:  BG72, BG75, BG78

Pumpkin:  E99, YR24, YR27
Shoes:  W3, W5, W7

Santa's Little Helper

Merry Christmas to all my blogging friends!  This is the final Christmas Card for this year.  I have had so much fun making all of them.  I love to color as it is quite relaxing to me.   Aren't those copics the best thing since sliced bread?  I choose to go with a simple design and sat little Magnolia Tilda on some spellbinders nested ovals.  I could not find ribbon to match the project, so I colored some white ribbon with the green to match Tilda's dress.  Added some buttons for some extra texture and she is complete!

Just a closer view of Santa's Little Helper Tilda.

Copics used:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Dress:  YG93, YG95, YG97
Sleeves/Underdress:  W1, W2, W3
Socks:  W1, W2 R24, R27, R89
Hat:  R24, R27, R89
Hair:  E31, E33, E35, E27

I matched the inside to the outside with just a simple sentiment by Stampabilities.

Please enjoy the next couple of days with those that are precious to you and remember the true gift of the season!

Thanks for stopping by and looking!  I will be back in a few days with some other projects for you!

Blessings until next time.

Warm Snowy Hug

Good Evening!

Thank you for stopping by.  I did get a few cards done this weekend, so I have something to post!  I had fun with this one!  Not your normal card.  I used copics and prisma pencils to color the image by Magnolia.  The sentiment is by Stampabilities.  The postage mark is by Paper inspirations.

Here is the detail:

Paper is by Basic Gray (not MME this time).  I used canvas as the background to the image and frayed the canvas to give it a rough look.  The image is sewn onto the canvas and then Tim Holtz Straw distress ink around the edges.  I used flower soft and glitter under the snowman and on his broom.  The postage circle was dipped into distress ink and perfect pearls for a shimmer before stamped.

Copics:
Pants:  E30, E31, E35
Coat & Hats:  T1, R27, R24, R89
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, R20
Shoes:  E29, E39, E35
Hair:  E21, E25, E29
Snowman:  0, W1, W2
Broom:  E50, E53, E55, E57
Buttons: W5, W7, W9
Nose:  E08, E97, E19

The inside is Basic Gray & Cosmo Cricket paper sewn together.  The sentiment is stamped on a cut out by Spellbinders, inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink.

Thanks for stopping!  I hope you have a fantastic nite!

Peachy Tilda

This is a card I made for my Aunt's birthday in July.  I used copics and prisma color pencils to color this Magnolia image.  Cosmo Cricket paper in fall colors.
