Fabulous!

It seems like it has been forever since I have been on here.  I spent a lot of time this week touching up wedding photos that I did last weekend.  I had over 1000.  But at the end of the day, I was very happy with them for being an amateur.

Today I have for you a cute little frog holding some flowers.  The stamp is by Bild Malarna.  I used My Mind's Eye papers and a cute little piece of lace off to the side.  I colored the image with copics and prisma pencils.  Then inked the edges to give it some dimension.

The inside of the card uses a Stampin Up sentiment.  I used a spellbinder die to cut out the center piece.  It was inked with painted shutters distressed ink around the edges.

The colors remind me of spring.  A good choice for today, as we woke to a very hard frost and later in the day had large snow balls falling from the sky.  Nothing stuck to the ground, but it is not even Halloween yet =-(

Until next time, make the most of each moment!

First Kiss - Wedding Card

Hello,
I made this card for my youngest brothers wedding on Saturday.  It has been done a few days, but I did not want to post before they actually received it.  The wedding was beautiful and they are finally enjoying some much needed stress free time together this week!

The sentiment on the outside is Stampin Up, inside is Magnolia and the boy and girl image is First Kiss by Stampavive - Sarah Kay.  I think they boy and girl are adorable!

Copics:
Boy
Hair:  E31, E31, E35
Pants:  C0, C1, C3, C5, C7
Shirt:  B21, B24, B26

Girl:
Hair:  E31, E31, E35
Pants:  B91, B95, B97, B99
Shirt, Hat & Bow:  BV000, BV02, BV04

Background was airbrushed with BV02

Prisma Pencil was used for shading:  Dark Brown, 90% Cool Gray & 90% French Gray.  I used a white gel pen to highlight the shirt and the dots on the hat.

The ribbon was white ribbon that I colored with BV02 to match.
I embossed in silver the front sentiment and then covered with perfect pearls to give it the extra shimmer.

On the inside, I used handmade paper for the very back layer and silver for the middle layer.  The sentiment is stamped on white paper with the edges airbrushed again with BV02.  The heart is raw chipboard covered with handmade paper and perfect pearls on the side

Thank you for looking.  Have a great week!

Country Snowman

Happy Friday!  Boy, this week sure has gone fast.

I have not had much time to work on my cards and stamping, but I can say that the van is finally painted.  Hubby is now distressing it to make it look old.  I will have to post some pics once it is complete.  He is doing an awesome job!

I digress, let's get to today's card.

I used a snowman stamp by High Hopes and colored it with copics and prisma pencils.

Copic colors used:
Snowman:  W1, W2, 0
Bird:  B21, B24, B26
Hat:  E30, E31, E35, E37
Scarf:  G20, G21, G24, G28
Sweater:  E30, E31, E35, W5, W7, G21, G24, G28, B91, B95, B97, B99
Gloves:  E31, E37, E57
Hearts:  E07, R24, R29
Nose:  YR12, YR15, YR18

The snowflake is actually 2 different snowflakes cut by the cricut.  I put puffy paint on them and heated them with a heat gun to give it texture.  Then I put some stickles on for shine with a gemstone in the middle.    I bet you can't guess who the paper is????  My Mind's Eye.

The inside circle is cut with spellbinders die and a bit of perfect pearls around the edge.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Thank you for looking!

Mistletoe Tilda

Good Evening!

I am on vacation this week from work, but I am thinking I need to go back to work to relax!  We have been painting a van for my hubby and then later this week, my youngest brother is getting married!  So lots of family in town.  I can't wait to see them all.

Today I have for you a Magnolia Tilda under the mistletoe.  I colored the image with copics,  prisma pencils and a white gel pen.  I did this one some time ago, so I don't have the colors written down.  The background paper is My Minds Eye.  I just love their paper and find myself buying all that is at Hobby Lobby.

Enjoy your week!

Thanks for looking

Christmas Tilda

Good Fall Saturday Morning

The weather is getting cool here in Ohio!  It is hard to believe that Christmas is just a few months away.  It will be here before we know it.  Today, I just wanted to share another Magnolia card.  Can you tell they are my favorite? =-)  I colored the image with copics and prisma pencils.  I did this one a few weeks ago, so I don't have the color info.  But promise to get better from here forward.

The background of the card is My Minds Eye and I don't recall the name of the other papers. The stamped images are Magnolia.  I distressed the edges of the papers on the inside and out to give it an older feel.  It is one of my favorite techniques.  I embossed the edges of the circle stamped image to give it a bit more shine.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

Cracked Glass Tilda

Hello and Happy Hump Day!

I had this stamped image colored with prsima pencils and was not completely thrilled with the look.  After doing some research on YouTube, I found a cracked glass technique.  Basically, you put embossing ink over the image and then emboss with clear embossing powder.  After you heat the first layer, you add more embossing powder.  Then repeat a few more times.  After you are satisfied with the look, you put in it the freezer, yes, I said freezer, for about 10 minutes.  Once you remove the image, you twist it to crack it and give it a scratched glass look.

Next I went over it with distressed ink to give it a antique feel.  I felt with the image, I need to mess up the background paper a bit, so I crumpled it all up and added distress ink to make it look older.  Overall, I am happy with the results.  I may have to give it another try.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

I made this card for one of the nicest, funniest, sweetest ladies I know - my husband's grandma.  She is 92 years young and still as sharp as a tack.  I love the way she makes sure that my husband is taken care of in church every Sunday morning.  She holds his hymnal and bulletin so he can read and sing with her.  But let me tell you... Don't get in the way of her pie!  She will fight you for it!

Now to the card!  I used a Whipper snapper stamp, floral turtle along with basic gray paper for the background.  Copics and prima color pencils to ink it!

Happy Birthday Karen

Good Morning,

Just wanted to share a card that I made for my husband's aunt a few weeks ago.  I colored the image with copic markers, image by Whipper Snapper Designs.  I love this little guy!!

I inked the edges of the image with ranger distress inks.  I also distressed the edges of the background paper.

On the inside, I used a monochromatic look and stamped flourishes around the edges of the background in the same color ink.  The middle piece is cut of of a spellbinders die.

Thank you for looking.
