Hey Girly! Loves Rubberstamps Challenge

I have to say last week was a very trying week, but this week we are hoping for positive results and good thoughts! Today, I am back with another challenge from Loves Rubberstamps! The air here is getting cooler and the leaves are starting to change. The farmers are starting to bring in the crops. Yes that means fall is here! So this week we want to see your fall colors!

1 - 2 - 3! Loves Rubberstamps Challenge

Hello Friends,

Before we get to today' challenge, I want to wish my little brother a very Happy 34th Birthday! He welcomed a little boy this past Thursday and he is the sweetest little guy you have seen. I know I am a bit biased, but I am allowed to be! His big sister really checked him out to make sure he had all his parts. She is very curious!

Ok, for the reason you are here, we have another challenge for you from Loves Rubberstamps! This week we want to see 1, 2, 3 creations. What does that mean you ask?

The Paper Shelter generously provided the design team some fun images to play with. I have used the Christmas Carol. I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated to color this image and almost used the pre-colored image, but I decided to challenge myself a bit and here it is. I am pretty happy with it. The image is cut out using MFT Die-namics Round Banner die. I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink. I decided the image would be cute with a center step card, so that is what I did. The papers are by Simple Stories, Aweso{me} and My Minds Eye. The sentiment is by Memory Box and is stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

Well, I received an order from Laura at Loves Rubberstampsthis week and could not wait to start using them. So get ready for some new fun stuff in the coming weeks! I used The Greeting Farm, Lovey Dovey image today. Isn't he the cutest little guy! He stole my heart, so I had to use him. He is colored with copics and highlighted with a white gel pen. I stamped him with Memento Black Tuxedo ink. The edges are inked with Rusty Hinge distress ink. I added some buttons and twine to finish him off. The papers are by Simple Stories, Aweso{me} collection.

Life - Loves Rubberstamps Weekly Challenge!

Hello Friends,

It seems like I have been in a whirl cloud for a while now, I hope to get back to normal and get more posts up very soon! But for today, I have another challenge for you from Loves Rubberstamps! This week we want to see a sentiment on your creation. So make sure to have one front and center!

Do you ever have one of those crafting days where things just don't work the way you intended? Well, this card was one of those. The image is not as I had expected at all. I think Hazel from Whimsy stamps is just adorable, but I couldn't decide to make her dark for light and fun. Oh well, here she is! I colored her with light colors and then used distressing to darken her up. How is that for compromise? She is colored with copics and the image is torn and inked with Tim Holtz Weathered Wood distress ink. I distressed the edges and inked them all. The sentiment is by Tim Holtz and is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I added some ribbon, tulle and a flower to finish her off.

Thankful for You! Sensational Sunday Blog Hop - Loves Rubberstamps!

Good Morning Fellow Crafters -

It is so hard to believe that the first week of September has already flown by. I was on vacation this week and we ended it with a huge garage sale. I am puzzled as we were exhausted after the sale, but did nothing but sit around and talk to people all day. Who knows?? We were just happy it was successful and we rid our house of lots of goodies.

Ok, on to today's creation... I made a little card using my Ranger (Tim Holtz) inks and markers. They are always so fun to pull out and create. By the time I am done, I have a huge mess on my desk. Well, that may not be all that unusual, but it is a bigger mess than I started with. I used water color paper and Hero Arts Design Block Silhouette stamp to begin. I colored the stamp with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers and then spritzed them with water. I then stamped the background image. It is not a sharp image, but that is ok for the background. Then I used Distress Ink with a ink blending tool to go around the edges. I added some pearls to the background and tore the bottom off. I matted the image and placed it on the card.

I then added a bow and a tag. The background of the tag was stamped with Penny Black, Love Chapter font in Brushed Curdory distress ink and then inked around the edges with Rusty Hinge distress ink. The sentiment is from the Be Happy, Amy R, collection and stamped with Memento Black Tuxedo ink.
