Loves Rubberstamps - Anything But a Card Challenge

Hello!

I am off on vacation this week and enjoying my time in my craft room!  I have another challenge for you from Loves Rubberstamps!  Are you ready?  If you are here about a card, you may want to look at another post for today, because this week is Anything but a Card!

I knew right away what I wanted to do.  I have been using a ring with some Gina K paper on it for about a year.  The paper has stamps on it with different color combinations for the copics I use.  I wanted to make a cover for it to protect it when I travel.  Well, our sponsor this week fit into this perfectly.  Saturated Canary generously provided us with an image to use.  I choose Copica.  See, she has a belt full of copics!  So I printed her off on cryogen paper and colored her up.  I cut out the image with Spellbinders Labels 14.

For the front and back of the book, I used chipboard.  I inked it with Worn Lipstick Tim Holtz distress ink and stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento ink around the edges with a circle stamp.  I then went through my scraps and began to sew them together.  These are all from the Echo Park Love Story collection.  I finished it with some flowers brads and chipboard letters.  It is held together with a ring.

Copics used:
Hair:  E29, E31, E35, E39
Skin:  E000, E00, E21
Shirt/Skirt:  B00, B02, B04, B06, RV21, RV25
Pouch:  E31, E33, E35

The inside I have stamped with a circle stamp enough to color a swatch of each color individually.

Then I have a page or two for each color family that allows me to blend colors together so I can see what color the final shade will be.  This is very handy when I am picking papers and colors to match.  When my copics come out, so does my book.  I just have a cute cover for it now!

Ok, so now I have shown you mine, I want to see yours!  Come over to Loves Rubberstamps and show me that special project you are working on.  Also, check out the design team creations, they are amazing!

Thanks for stopping by.  I do appreciate your visit.
Blessings until next time....
Athina
