Loves Rubberstamps Sunday Blog Hop

Good Morning Friends,

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $10 Loves Rubberstamps store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love for the Designers! You have until Saturday, May 4th, at 8pm CST. Have fun and we hope that you enjoy the hop!

If you've arrived here from Dangina's blog you are right on track! If not, I have posted the whole blog hop list below just in case you get lost along the way!

Today I want to share with you a retirement card for a very special lady that I work with.  Though I have never met her in person, I have talked with her and emailed her for the last few years.  She is fantastic!  She is planning to retire and travel beginning May 17.  So I will get this in the mail for her this week.

I have looked at this stamp many times, and finally decided that I needed to add it to my collection. It is by Magnolia, Tulip Walkway.  I have stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with my copics.  I think this will be an image I will definitely use more often.  I cut the image out using Spellbinders Labels 18 and used some Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Distress ink around the edges.  The background papers are the Fabulous collection by Simple Stories.  I finished it off with some lace, ribbon and twine.

Copics used:
Cart:  W1, W3, W5
Leaves: G20, G21, G24, G28
Tulips:  R81, R83, R85, R89
Grass:  G24, G28, E44, YG95, YG97, G99, G85

I cut down some store bought tags and inked them with Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Distress ink.  I used some background stamps to add some more texture.  The top tag sentiment was stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink with an Amy R Collection Be Happy Sentiments stamp.   I finished the tags off with a brad, some ribbon and a key.

The inside is done in matching papers, with a punched border at the top and some more lace.

Your next stop on the hop is Shanna!
Thanks for stopping by!  I do appreciate your visit!
Blessings until next time...
Athina
