Hello Blogging Friends,
First, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Years and I hope
that your New Year is filled with much success and that all your wishes and
desires come true. I have some more fun
news for you today! For the month of
December, I was a guest designer for Loves Rubberstamps. Laura, the owner, asked me to join the team
and I have gladly accepted! You should
stop by the store and see all the gorgeous
stamps, papers and embellishments she carries.
So this is my first official post as a member of the Loves
Rubberstamps Design Team! The challenge
for this week is Anything Goes! These are always a lot of fun. We are also sponsored by The Cutting Cafe this week.
I colored up the Heidi
image by Wee Stamps on cryogen paper with my copics. The background papers are all My Mind’s Eye, Lost and Found . Since Heidi is all bundled up, I decided to
shake up the image a bit and make it a shaker card. This is actually very simple to do. I used the Spellbinders
Labels 18 dies and cut out a border. I
then cut another die cut using the large label die out of clear envelope
packaging. I glued the clear die cut to
the border and set it aside to dry.
After I colored the image, I used 3M double sided tape and put it around
the edges of the image which I also cut out with the large Spellbinders Labels
18 die. After putting the 3M tape around
the image, I decided it needed a little more height, so I added another layer
of double sided tape. (Be sure to seal
the image completely with the tape or the flakes will fall out. After I added
the double sided tape, I added the snow.)
Then I removed the backing of the double sided tape and put the border
with the clear packaging tape over the image.
Whala! You have a shaker card with snow around the image!
